RAASEL (best price 9-4) looks to be another cab off the rank for the successful Horse Watchers set-up and arriving here in cracking shape courtesy of three straight wins, number four looks a distinct possibility over a C&D that suits.

Previously with Marcus Tregoning, the son of Showcasing took awhile to find his feet for new connections, but since fitted with a hood, his levels of performance have gone through the roof. Freshened up after a disappointing on three occasions for the new yard, the four-year-old chestnut turned out to be a totally different proposition on his return to action at Goodwood and following on from that success, he’s subsequently gone on to go back-to-back at the Colwick Park venue. Although he only scored by half-a-length here 14 days ago, he left the impression he had more in the tank if required and with the time figure backing up the visual aspect of the display, the decision to come back her rather than tackle an engagement at Doncaster over the weekend due to unfavourable ground conditions will hopefully turn out to be a wise one.

SEE THE SEA (best price 15-8) arrives here in the form of her life following two recent track records next to her name, so all eyes will be focused on the clock again as Donald McCain’s mare bids to complete a quick hat trick.

The daughter of Born To Sea has always been pretty useful, especially when allowed to dominate, but since undergoing surgery in the summer, she appears to have taken her game to a different level. Since beaten by one of today’s main rivals, Pillar Of Steel, at Uttoxeter, she has totally bossed her last two races from the front and with the distinct likelihood of her getting an uncontested lead again due to her being the only front-runner in the field, she should be in her comfort zone from an early stage. Moreover, the form from her Wincanton victory has already taken a huge boost with the runner-up scoring back there on Sunday, and with fast ground to suit, it makes sense to stay loyal to this in-form seven-year-old.

JUST LET GO (best price 9-2) is by far and away the most inexperienced of today’s party with just three runs, but at the same time, he easily rates one of the most interesting of the 14 runners and he’s worth a small shy at the stumps to see whether his opening handicap mark of 66 is an underestimation of his true ability.

An eye-catcher over today’s C&D in a decent maiden way back in January 2020, Andrew Oliver’s gelding has only run twice since and seen as they both came over what appeared to be an inadequate trip, each effort has come heavily under the microscope. Never dangerous but not knocked about on heavy ground at Limerick after a 617-day break, the son of Kingston Hill shaped with even more promise back at today’s track over six-furlongs 12 days ago, and the way he hit the line strongly intimated he would be seen in a better light over further. Back up to a mile with Colin Keane booked, the lightly-raced four-year-old is likely to make his presence felt providing he doesn’t find a race of this nature a total culture shock.
