LANDSMAN (best price 22-1) came within a whisker of beating subsequent Cheltenham cross-country winner Back On The Lash on his penultimate outing and, with no opponent of that ones calibre in this line-up, a reproduction of that form would certainly make him hard to beat despite being the outsider of field here. He couldn’t match that form when only fourth last-time-out but this is a drop in class and, providing he doesn’t lose interest, Tim Vaughan’s charge could go well at a double-figure price.
14.17 Lingfield
GET YOUR OWN (best price 9-1) found everything happening a bit too quickly on return in a listed handicap hurdle at Ascot in October but he should strip a lot fitter down in class here. He opened his account at Southwell around this time last year when beating a 125-rated individual and, therefore, his current mark of 120 is on the lenient side of the scale. He has the scope to surpass his hurdles form in this sphere and, this longer trip promises to suit too, so he looks a major each-way player with four places on offer.
