Keyfast Warrior impressed when scoring over track and trip last month and is open to improvement but the form of STAND STAUNCH’s (best price 7-4) fourth in Ireland last time received a welcome boost when the third Inca Prince completed a double last week and this four-year-old is taken to capitalise on the weight he gets from the top-weight on debut for the Hamilton team. He was runner-up at Killarney on his second hurdle start having been brought down through no fault of his own on debut and, if anywhere near his best on today’s stable debut, he should be ready to go close.

BOAGRIUS (best price 8-1) hasn’t won since 2019 but he’s too well-treated to ignore this afternoon, especially now eased in grade. He wasn’t at his best last-time-out but drops into this grade which will help and he ran well behind subsequent winner Sir Tivo at Bangor on his penultimate outing off a four-pound higher mark. That latest effort at Sandown was his first run for five months so he’s entitled strip fitter and Johnny Burke has his only ride on the card for trainer Tom George who saddles his only runner of the day, too. The nine-year-old should go well now that he has finally been given some huge relief by the assessor.
