Architect Tips is back with five tips for today's racing.

MANVERS HOUSE (best price 12-1) might still be a maiden who has a patchy profile but his latest fifth back over hurdles was a lot more encouraging and, if able to take another step forward from that display, he could be right in the mix in the latter stages. He has gone close six times previously, reaching the frame in all of them off marks 120’s plus and the last time he competed here was when beaten only two lengths over today’s course-and-distance behind Fantastikas, who’s now rated 140 over fences. Front-running tactics are likely to be applied and, if getting into a solid rhythm at the head of affairs, he has the ability to upset the favourite here.

The Virgin Bet Handicap Chase looks a good opportunity for FOXBORO (best price 11-4) to deservedly open his account over fences after a sequence of good efforts in defeat of late for his in-form handler. The seven-year-old went close on his chase debut last year off a mark of 135 when narrowly beaten by Twenty Twenty but while that rival has gone backwards, this one is improving. He’s been close to winning the last two times, including when splitting horses rated 130 plus when last spotted so, knowing that he remains open to improvement back down in grade, Angus Cheleda can guide him to victory here.

SEE THE EAGLE FLY (best price 22-1) remains winless since winning on hurdles debut but that did come over today’s course-and-distance and, in the hope, a return to this venue has a positive outcome, this five-year-old has each-way possibilities. She ultimately become disappointing for Harry Whittington and didn’t set the world alight on debut for Christian Williams but she’s the top-rated runner in the field at 106 with Ellis Collier taking off seven pounds and the drop into class-five company for the first time in this sphere should enable her to be very competitive in this event.

BROWN BULLET (best price 7-1) didn’t really take to chasing in two attempts but her hurdles form is reliable and, having shaped well when fourth to Voice Of Calm in a class 2 event at Newbury last time, she’s a major player dropping significantly in grade under her optimum conditions. She’s two-pound lower than when winning over track and trip last year in a class-three event so she’s evidently well-treated in this basement grade and should be more than capable of making her presence felt off top-weight against a lot of rivals who have plenty to prove.

Anthony Honeyball couldn’t have his team in better order and, while she’s found one too good in three of her last four starts, LILITH (best price 4-1) has shown more than enough to suggest her turn is very near under Rex Dingle. Brandisova is interesting but the former boasts the stronger form of the pair and the experience in this discipline and she’s rated eight-pounds superior to the latter, too. On the form available, I’m mildly surprised she isn’t favourite for this event and can gain her maiden breakthrough victory here.
