Newfoundland, a full brother to Oaks heroine Snowfall, received a positive mention from Aidan O’Brien in a recent stable tour but I feel he will find it difficult to concede experience to the 99 rated BOUNDLESS OCEAN (best priced at 9/4). It was slightly disappointing that the Jim Bolger trained colt was beaten on his reappearance but I think the winner Malex will turn into a smart horse this season.

Boundless Ocean finished a neck second on his debut at the Curragh before running with credit in a pair of Group 3s at this course. This step-up in trip to 1m2f should suit this son of Teofilo and I expect him to prove hard to beat.

HAZIYA (best priced at 10/11) won on her handicap debut on her reappearance and she should prove hard to beat under a 7lb penalty in this race. That was her stable debut for Joseph O’Brien having moved from Mick Halford and she made a mockery of her opening handicap mark of 73.

Haziya won easily by three lengths at this course over a mile on Saturday and she runs here under a 7lb penalty which makes her 6lbs “well in” at the weights following a 13lb rise by the handicapper. Mikey Sheehy retains the ride claiming 3lbs and she should run well if she is in the same form.

The Johnny Murtagh trained RAADOBARG (best priced at 7/4) won this Irish Lincolnshire on his stable debut on his reappearance and he looks worthy of this step up in class. The four-year-old had previously been a high-class handicapper for Roger Varian in the UK but he was well backed to make a winning reappearance at the Curragh where he was sent off a 9/2 favourite.

Raadobarg was fitted with a first-time tongue-tie that day and he was given a confident ride by Ben Coen to come through from the rear of the 26 strong field. He won going away by two lengths at the finish, looks progressive and has race fitness on his side over his main market rivals Pearls Galore and Cadillac.
