Steve Ryder is back with three tips for today's action, on top of his ante-post selection in the Commonwealth Cup.

The Marco Botti trained Fifteenthamendment (best priced at 9/4) won on his handicap debut last time and he should hold strong claims off a 5lb higher mark. The son of Noble Mission has run with credit on all of his career starts to date but he looked to appreciate the step up in trip to 1m2f when making a winning handicap debut at Nottingham last month.
The handicapper has raised Fifteenthamendment 5lbs for his 1 length success but not everything went to plan during the race so that rise in the weights to a mark of 76 could prove lenient.

Commonwealth Cup Ante-Post Selection
It was understandable why connections of PERFECT POWER (best priced at 5/1) felt they had to run him in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket but he should be a lot better suited by the return to sprinting in this race.
The Richard Fahey trained colt has won five of his eight career starts including the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot, the Prix Morny at Deauville and the Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket last season.
The son of Ardad won the Group 3 Greenham Stakes over 7f on his reappearance at Newbury before weakening late on in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket to finish 7th beaten 6 ¼ lengths.
This drop back in trip from a mile to 6f should suit him well; we know he handles the course and with an official rating of 115 he should prove hard to beat in this race.

Charlie Fellowes trained both Thanks Be (2019) and Onassis (2020) to win this race in recent years and I think he has a good chance of training the winner again this year with Fresh Hope (best priced at 7/1). The daughter of New Approach was only beaten 2 ¼ lengths and ½ length on both of her starts as a two-year-old before running well behind Rogue Millenium on her reappearance at Wetherby.
Thanks Be won on her handicap debut at Doncaster last month by a short head off a mark of 78 and the handicapper has raised her 4lbs for that success. She sneaks into this race towards the bottom of the weights meaning she receives over a stone from the favourite Heredia and I think she will run well with up to eight places available.

The Eddie Lynam trained Collective Power (best priced at 9/4) was a model of consistency on the AW over the winter and has transferred that form onto turf so far this season. The four-year-old son of Slade Power finished 5th in two starts at Navan before finishing 2nd at Cork last time when fitted with a first time visor.
Collective Power was only beaten ½ length last time off a mark of 67 and he gets to run here off the same mark. If the visor works the trick for a second time then he should prove hard to beat with top apprentice Mikey Sheehy on board.
