Ideal Guest doubled his tally when scoring at Brighton last night but I’m assuming he will be declared a non-runner and even if he is turned out quickly, I think he’ll find it difficult to beat Rae Guest’s KISS KISS (best price 13/8) who’s done nothing in bumping into a couple of winners when second here the last two times. I thought she shaped well in her first three starts on the all-weather without being given a hard time of things and since going handicapping in two subsequent starts on the turf, she’s been narrowly beaten in each of them over a mile at this course. On the evidence of both efforts, she should appreciate the drop to this trip and she’s been dealt a good draw in stall two. James Doyle, who was on her when the pair nearly grabbed the spoils here back in May, is reunited, and off only a two pound higher mark than last time with more to come on just her third turf outing, she looks capable of putting it all together to gain compensation for her two recent near-misses by going one better here.

Tom Clover’s ELECTRIC LOVE (best price 2/1) remains seven pounds above her last winning mark but she’s been unlucky on more than one occasion since completing a double over this course-and-distance. She has a tendency to be slow from the stalls, which has proved costly, but she may have won at Epsom in a class three event with a clear passage and that was off a mark of 74. She was then fourth at Nottingham off the same mark and while she was set with plenty to do, she was the last horse off the bridle and the winner, Tees Spirit, franked the form by winning the Epsom Dash at Epsom next time. Her latest run back at the same course can easily be excused, as she was badly hampered at the start when carried left out of the stalls and then about twenty seconds later, she was carried violently left again by the same horse which, by contrast, forced Hayley Turner to use up a lot of petrol to get the filly in contention. While she looked briefly dangerous down the wide outside, she could only finish seventh but she's dropped two pounds and if Cieren Fallon can get her to break on terms, she could be too good for these.
