Architect Tips continues his new daily Tote Placepot tips column with selections for the first six races at Perth.

Leg 1 Selections: ENKI FLACKE
ENKI FLACKE failed to win in four starts over hurdles in Ireland but the return to this course has seen him claim back-to-back events, which took his tally to three-from-three at the course. He has a massive penalty to shoulder on this occasion, but he’s likely to be ridden positively back down in distance and should complete the hat-trick for Bowen and Elliott.

Leg 2 Selections: CASTLETOWN
Lucinda Russell’s CASTLETOWN has been in good form of late and was a good third over track and trip last-time-out. He’s only won once over fences to date but he remains well-treated on past exploits and has Derek Fox doing the steering again too. This is competitive, with the favourite looking solid, but the former has loads of chase experience and should be thereabouts.

Leg 3 Selections: GONFALONIER
Nicky Richards’ GONFALONIER returned a very smooth winner over course-and-distance last time and should have a lot more to offer in the handicapping scenario off a lenient mark. He’s been hit with a huge rise for that latest victory but he couldn’t have won any easier and could follow-up in this weak-looking contest. Newtown Boy is probably the main danger.

Leg 4 Selections: FLOATING ROCK, PLANNED PARADISE
FLOATING ROCK has taken really well to this sphere, in which he’s won two of his four starts and came well clear of his sole rival three weeks ago. This is obviously tougher, but he’s got room for improvement and should make a bold effort on leg four. PLANNED PARADISE won in good style three weeks ago despite not jumping that good and while he’s gone up eight pounds, he’s a major player.

Leg 5 Selections: LUCKY FLIGHT, FEARLESS
LUCKY FLIGHT couldn’t be in better form and could be set for the hat-trick here if allowed to dictate matters from the front. This is a deeper field than last time, but he’s enjoyed positive tactics of late and gets the main vote to come good in leg five. FEARLESS won in this grade at Aintree last time and has to merit consideration from only a five pound higher mark than last time off bottom-weight.

Leg 6 Selections: GLEN AVA
There’s lots to like about GLEN AVA here who goes in search of a third consecutive course-and-distance victory. She’s two from three for this stable and was in control of her latest success a long way from the finish, where she had all her rivals in trouble before skipping clear to score by five lengths. That win was in a slow time but she’s clearly in good heart and should prove hard to beat.
