Architect Tips continues his new daily Tote Placepot tips column with selections for the six races at Lingfield.
18:00 Lingfield
Leg 1 Selections: Jeremiah Johnson, Think Trigger
This is wide-open, but JEREMIAH JOHNSON has course-and-distance winning form and has a good overall record at this course. He ran quite well on his latest visit to this venue and connections have booked Adam Kirby to do the steering.
Gary Moore’s THINK TRIGGER looks well-treated off his current mark and wasn’t disgraced when third over course-and-distance nearly a month ago. He’s open to further improvement off a pound lower mark than last time and should be thereabouts.

Leg 2 Selections: River Of Stars
Ralph Beckett could hardly have his team in better form and RIVER OF STARS should take some beating in this contest. Placed on both starts last year, this filly came close to opening her account on her reappearance at Newbury last time, where she was just beaten a short-head.
This Group Two entry drops in grade over the same trip and sets a clear standard, so she’s highly recommended to make it fourth time lucky under Rob Hornby. It will be disappointing otherwise. Fine China and Night Sparkle should have more to come and can chase her home.

Leg 3 Selections: Beau Roc
George Boughey’s BEAU ROC has bumped into one in both her starts to date but she’s still got time on her side and she hasn’t done much wrong in either of those efforts in defeat. Her trainer is in pretty good form too.
The return to this surface looks a good move and if Saffie Osborne, who claims three pounds, can work her magic, this filly may get off the mark and get the better of Liberation Bay, who is definitely her main danger.

Leg 4 Selections: Dance to Paris, Storm Chaser
DANCE TO PARIS ran well for a long way when tenth in the Northumberland Vase at Newcastle last-time-out and was second in the Chester Plate back in May off a pound higher mark. This mare has a good record over course-and-distance and could outclass these off top-weight with Rob Hornby in the saddle.
STORM CHASER could be the biggest threat. I don’t think she was suited to more patient tactics last time, as she benefitted from being ridden prominently on her previous two starts, in which she won and finished second. She ran a big race on her last start over track and trip and could feature in this race off a low-weight.

Leg 5 Selections: Rawasi Almeydan, Juanita
RAWASI ALMEYDAN wasn’t at her best last time but she’s worth another chance of a lenient-looking handicap debut mark. Her debut third, at Yarmouth, looks a useful piece of form, as the runner-up Tardis is now rated 97 and the fifth Latin Lover won a competitive handicap at Royal Ascot. On that evidence, she could be too good for these with the step up in trip worth exploring here.
JUANITA has shown promise in each of her five starts without threatening to score and caught the eye when coming from off the pace to finish fifth at Windsor last time. If the hood works a second time, with scope for progression, she could play her cards late here with Charles Bishop in the saddle again too.

Leg 6 Selections: Bowling Russian
In leg six, I’ll take a chance on the well-treated BOWLING RUSSIAN, who’s thirteen pounds lower than when last successful, which came over course-and-distance and is lurking on an exploitable mark in this weaker event for Chris Wallis.
He wasn’t seen to the best effect last time when only fourth but the return to this venue with the cheekpieces applied could get her back on track. George Bass also takes off a handy five pounds. If we can get to the last leg, she should get involved in this race.
