Leg 1 Selections: Heat And Dust, Andaleep

HEAT AND DUST has been in really good form this year and following two wins in July, she ran a respectable race when second at Epsom last-time-out. She could easily resume winning ways against lesser-rated opponents here.

ANDALEEP is another to arrive into this race in good form on the back of a solid second at Epsom. Whilst she is unproven over a trip this far, she has to be feared most if she does stay the distance with his rider taking off five-pounds.

Leg 2 Selections: Sassy Belle

Ed Walker’s SASSY BELLE showed a lot of ability/promise when runner-up at Newbury three weeks ago and that race has worked out phenomenally well, given the winner, Trillium, has subsequently won a Group Three event.

The fourth from that race, Swingalong, has also bolted up since, so the form is absolutely rock-solid. Saffie Osborne is the saddle again, who takes off her three-pounds and, with more to offer, this filly must have an excellent chance.

Leg 3 Selections: Rainbow Mirage

RAINBOW MIRAGE is the only course-and-distance winner in the field and has already won three times this year. She’s maintained her form since winning at Leicester in May and was unlucky not to finish closer last time when third.

That form looks absolutely solid in the context of this assignment as she drops down markedly in grade. This race has potential improvers off their current marks but this mare has the course form in the book and shouldn’t be far away here.

Leg 4 Selections: Second Collection

SECOND COLLECTION won twice last season, including over course-and-distance off a five-pounds higher mark. She hasn’t been at her best the last two times but she has a great record at this venue with figures reading 114232312.

She has won and placed numerous times here in higher graded events and has the services of Rossa Ryan here, who is a positive jockey booking. If the return to this venue has a positive outcome, she’s got a great chance of taking the spoils.

Leg 5 Selections: Maximilian Caesar

The Marco Botti-trained MAXIMILIAN CAESAR took a major step forward from his debut effort when beating subsequent winner Hurricane Kiko with plenty to spare at Yarmouth just over two weeks ago under a good ride from Neil Callan.

Dubai Mile and Imperial Dream can be recognised as the main dangers but the former has the more experience and should improve for the extra furlong here too. With more to offer, despite carrying a penalty, he should make a bold bid.

Leg 6 Selections: Love Dreams

LOVE DREAMS won over course-and-distance back in April off this very mark and whilst he’s not matched that form in two subsequent starts, the return to this venue is a good move, as he was third over track and trip off a three-pounds higher mark in May.

That was also in a class three event and today’s race is two grades lower. All of his career wins have been off higher marks and his record between seven furlongs and a mile at this level is very strong. Savrola might take some beating but this eight-year-old is a player.
