Leg 1 Selection: Kinta

Dramatised hasn’t been seen since her impressive victory in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot and at the prices she seems opposable stepping up in trip to 6f for the first time. Preference instead goes to KINTA who finished only a length behind the more experienced Lezoo in the Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot last time. The George Boughey trained filly her first two starts on the AW before proving she up to this class on turf last time. William Buick retains the ride and I expect her to be involved in the finish.

Leg 2 Selection: Redemption Time

The Clive Cox trained REDEMPTION TIME ran better than his finishing position of 9th suggests in the Norfolk Stakes and this step up in trip to 6f should suit him well. He finished 3rd on his first two starts before getting off the mark in a first-time tongue tie at Bath on his third start. He was staying on in the Norfolk Stakes last time before getting squeezed out shaping like this step up to 6f should suit. He sets the standard with an official rating of 93 and he looks the solid option in this race.

Leg 3 Selection: Brunch

The Michael Dods trained BRUNCH has a good record at York with form figures of 112725 with his only disappointing efforts coming in a Group 3 and listed race. The five-year-old now drops back down into handicap company over a course and distance that he was only beaten a head on his penultimate start. He is only rated 2lbs higher than that day and he should run well off top weight.

Leg 4 Selection: Alpinista

ALPINISTA has won her previous five starts and she should hold strong claims of adding a fifth Group 1 in a row to her CV. She beat the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner Torquator Tasso in Germany last season before winning the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud on her reappearance when she had the likes of Lone Eagle, High Definition and Hurricane Lane all well beaten. She won a listed race on fast ground at Salisbury earlier in her career so this ground shouldn’t be a concern and I expect her to prove hard to beat.

Leg 5 Selection: Time Lock

This looks like a competitive renewal of the Galtres Stakes but preference goes to the Harry & Roger Charlton trained TIME LOCK. She stepped forward from a below par effort behind Emily Upjohn on her debut to win a Newmarket novice race by 6 ½ lengths on her second start. She finished a close 2nd behind the reopposing Mimikyu next time at Haydock under a 6lb penalty and she should now reverse that form off level weights. That rival has boosted the form since with a six length victory at Newmarket last time off a mark of 86 earning her a 13lb rise in the handicap. William Buick retains the ride and I expect her to finish in the frame despite the step up in class.

Leg 6 Selection: X J Rascal

X J RASCAL has run consistently well on all four of his career starts and he should still be competitive off a 2lb higher mark. The George Boughey trained colt won on his debut at Brighton and has finished 2nd on both of his starts in handicap company since. He finished only a head behind Prairie Falcon at Goodwood before finishing only a head behind Zabbie at Doncaster on his next start. The handicapper has raised him 2lb for that effort but a mark of 82 shouldn’t be beyond reach and the booking of Ryan Moore is also a positive.
