Architect Tips shares his Tote Placepot tips for today's racing at Epsom.
Leg 1 Selections: Look Back Smiling
The Ed Dunlop-trained LOOK BACK SMILING won well on debut at Pontefract, getting up within the shadows of the post, and wasn’t disgraced when third under a penalty at Chepstow last time. With more to come, he should be thereabouts in this wide-open contest.
Leg 2 Selections: Castle Way
The Charlie Appleby-trained CASTLE WAY only found his stablemate too strong on debut but comfortably went one better at the start of this month. He should have lots more to come and while this is a deepish race, he is a warm favourite and can follow-up his latest win under the guidance of William Buick.
Leg 3 Selections: Jewel In My Crown
JEWEL IN MY CROWN returned to winning ways on the all-weather two weeks ago and is only a pound higher here returned to the turf. I know she was well beaten in her previous two races but they were stiff tasks than the assignment today and given her record in this grade, she’s a leading contender.
Leg 4 Selections: Tartan Chief
TARTAN CHIEF has been knocking on the door all year and has made the frame in his last four starts, including at this course on his penultimate start. Off a workable mark, with improvement forthcoming, he should be extremely competitive once more.
Leg 5 Selections: Dukeman
DUKEMAN ran a promising race when third on debut and had little difficulty opening his account at Newcastle when seeing off his two rivals. This is a stiffer task but this son of Kingman is open to more improvement and should finish in the frame at the very least.
Leg 6 Selections: New Pursuit
NEW PURSUIT won over course-and-distance on his return in April and ran well when second at Windsor last time. This is a drop in grade and an excellent three-pounds claimer has been booked to ride. He should do very well here.
