DOLLAR BAE (best price 85/40) won her only point-to-point start and having made a sparkling bumper debut success back in February, she’s ran two solid races in defeat since. She shaped much better than the beaten margin indicated when fourth at Cheltenham back in April and while she’s not been seen for 168 days, she has the potential to surpass this sort of level with more to come. Her breeding suggests she’ll be even better in this sphere than bumpers, so even though her trainer isn’t in the greatest of form at the minute, this mare has a great chance on hurdles debut in this race.

A few of these bring significant potential to the table but ITSO FURY (best price 5/4) made the frame in all four bumper starts and this son of Fame And Glory is bred to do very well in this sphere. He’s a strong traveller, who has the physique and potential to rank higher, and this longer trip on his hurdles debut looks a positive move by connections. Harry D’Alene ran well last time but I wasn’t impressed with the way he conducted himself under pressure last time, looking awkward. I strongly fancy the former to successfully make a winning hurdles debut.

GLIMPSE OF GALA (best price 7/2) found her stamina pushed to the absolute limit in a difficult race at Ayr when last spotted but she’s proven at this level and the drop back in trip with a good record fresh should see her very competitive here. She has also won over this course-and-distance too, so under a likely positive Lily Pinchin ride, she could take some passing on the front end here.

DAGUENEAU (best price 12/1) was pulled up on his return to action at Worcester last time but that was his first start after a year and five months off, so he’s entitled to strip fitter and his last two wins in this code were off off marks of 124 and 126, so he’s dangerously well-treated off 119 here. A first-time tongue tie will be applied and I can envisage Emma Lavelle’s seven-year-old exceeding market expectations here with a bold performance with that latest run under his belt.
Dagueneau - 0.5pts e/w @ 12/1
