Architect Tips shares his Tote Placepot tips for today's racing at Exeter.

Leg 1 Selections: Jersey Wonder, Honor Grey
All three of these could win this race. However, JERSEY WONDER has course-and-distance winning form and has been pretty solid in defeat since capitalising on a reduced mark back in May. He should go well with a claimer taking off seven-pounds. I think his main danger is HONOR GREY, who’s been in good form since the blinkers have been fitted and wasn’t beaten far in his hat-trick bid last time. He is a threat to his two rivals for his in-form handler.

Leg 2 Selections: Caspers Court
The Kayley Woollacott-trained CASPERS COURT is generally consistent in this sphere and having narrowly prevailed on his penultimate start, he ran really well when third last time behind much higher-rated opponents in a class four event. He has also won over course-and-distance off a higher mark in the past, so connections have found him a good opportunity to regain the winning thread here back down in grade.

Leg 3 Selections: Shantou Express
Kim Bailey’s SHANTOU EXPRESS only got as far as the first fence on his return at Kelso but the seven-year-old’s sole previous visit here resulted with success, winning by 23 lengths, and he remains on the same mark as when last successful over hurdles. He won by 10 lengths that day, so he’s undeniably well treated in this sphere if he can put it all together. If everything falls into place, David Bass could guide him to a much-deserved success over fences.

Leg 4 Selections: Lallygag
Paul Nicholls’ LALLYGAG, who’s a brother to the smart Lalor, showed plenty of ability in bumpers last season and this is a nice opportunity to make a winning hurdles debut here. He is his trainer's only runner on the card and Harry Cobden’s only ride here too, so provided he takes to the obstacles well, he could have too much class for his two rivals here.

Leg 5 Selections: Pens Man
PENS MAN won three of his first six starts in this sphere and was brought down through no fault of his own in his follow-up bid at Bangor just under three weeks ago. He should be none the worse for that unfortunate incident and given his trainer has been in fine form recently, he can resume his progress and gain a fourth chase success in this weak contest.

Leg 6 Selections: Gaelic Thunder, Braveheart
GAELIC THUNDER produced his best effort in first-time cheekpieces/tongue tie combination when third last time and although he’ll be competing from out of the handicap, he’s a threat to all if ready on his return. BRAVEHEART finished last of three on his chase debut but will have needed the run and experience and could pose a bigger impact in this race.
