Architect Tips shares his Tote Placepot tips for today's racing at Ayr.

Leg 1 Selections: Big Changes
BIG CHANGES was clearly a happier horse when the headgear was discarded last time, where he sauntered to an easy success on just his second start over fences. He looks ahead of the assessor and should have more to come now tackling this longer distance, so he has an excellent chance in his follow-up bid here.

Leg 2 Selections: Sizing Pottsie
SIZING POTTSIE should have too much class for these. He won a Grade Two back in March and has since joined David Pipe. He’s had a breathing operation ahead of his return here and brings the best form to the table. He is likely to go back over the larger obstacles but should have too many gears for this field.

Leg 3 Selections: Bestarius
BESTARIUS took advantage of a reduced mark at Newcastle and has held his form well since. He looked in need of the run when sixth here last time, which came after a near fourth month break, and he went close here back in January off a five pounds higher mark. He should go very well with that latest run under his belt off a mark he’s capable of defying.

Leg 4 Selections: Toucan Sam
TOUCAN SAM has shown promise in each of his six starts to date and it’s interesting to see Andrew Hamilton send him straight over fences in handicap debut having been restricted to just three hurdle starts. The form of his third at Perth on his penultimate start reads good form, as the second and fifth have won since, while the fourth has finished runner-up three times since. This four-year-old also drops in grade here too, and William Shanahan takes off seven pounds, which in turn sees him get into this race off a low-weight and a good mark of 93 with the claim taken into account.

Leg 5 Selections: Nells Son, Corrieben Reiver
NELLS SON has won four of his eight starts under rules, including a Grade Two and well when fourth in a Grade One last time. He makes lots of appeal now going chasing off a lenient mark. CORRIEBEN REIVER has a good record fresh, so the absence isn’t much of a concern and if able to translate his hurdles form to this sphere, he could give the former most to think about.

Leg 6 Selections: The Questioner, Your Place
THE QUESTIONER has been in good form of late and the form of his latest second has been advertised by the winner who’s scored again since. He merits strong consideration here, while YOUR PLACE made the frame three times earlier this year and should strip fitter for his latest return. He should pose a threat in this race.
