Following two places yesterday, Steve Ryder is back with three tips from today's action.

There is no doubt that Gentleman De Mee sets the standard on the form showed at the end of last season but it is worth noting that Coeur Sublime (best priced at 10/3) finished ahead of the favourite on their reappearance run last season. The Henry De Bromhead trained seven-year-old finished a four length 2nd behind Ferny Hollow on his chasing debut last season where he had Gentleman De Mee a further 15 ½ lengths behind in 5th. They raced off level weights that day and the selection is now in receipt of 9lbs so Coeur Sublime should be able to put it up to the favourite.
Coeur Sublime finished last season with a close 2nd behind Blue Lord in a Grade 1 Novice Chase at Punchestown so despite having 12lbs to find on ratings, I do think he stands a good chance of upsetting the favourite.

The Paddy Power Gold Cup is always an intriguing early season puzzle to solve and preference goes to Stolen Silver (best priced at 11/2) for in the in-form Sam Thomas stable. The seven-year-old won by 11 lengths on his reappearance last season before finishing a close 2nd on this Cheltenham old course over 2 miles.
Stolen Silver finished 2nd in the Plate Handicap Chase at the Cheltenham Festival before winning by an impressive 11 lengths over 2m4f here on the new course in April. That victory came off a mark of 143 and he now runs here off a 7lb higher mark. The Sam Thomas stable have form figures of 311U42123 in the previous two weeks so they have started the season well and Stolen Silver is expected to go well with five places on offer.
15:10 Lingfield
The John & Thady Gosden trained Harrovian (best priced at 13/2) finished a close 2nd behind subsequent King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner Pyledriver in this race last season and he should hold strong claims again in it this season. The six-year-old has been lightly raced this season but he finished a good 3rd in the listed Wolferton Stakes at Royal Ascot in June. He disappointed at Sandown on his next start but now returns from 134 days off the track and should be suited by this return to the AW.
Harrovian has finished 2nd on both of his starts on the AW which have both come over this course and distance. He has to concede weight to the three-year-old Missed The Cut but that rival has to bounce back from a slightly disappointing run at Deauville and Harrovian is expected to run well with four places on offer.
