REPRESENTING BOB (NAP) (best price 9/5), as transpired, faced an impossible task trying to match live with subsequent winner Tea For Free at Uttoxeter last time out, but now returning to a more realistic level, the son of Presenting is fancied to provide his in-form yard with yet another winner. 

Jamie Snowden’s gelding enjoyed a lucrative campaign during his first stint over fences and even though he ultimately got well beaten on his first start for 256 days at the Midland venue, the numbers still say it was one of his better performances so far to date.

Keeping on well from the back of the field, the chestnut managed to run the final circuit on par with the now 137-rated Kinondo Kwetu and with the fourth and fifth also going on to advertise the strength of the form since, it would be slightly disappointing if he didn’t follow suit off the same mark of 109. 

IKE SPORT (best price 5/1) could never land a meaningful full blow at the main players at Worcester last time out, but given today’s opposition is nowhere near the level he faced 52 days ago, Neil Mulholland’s gelding looks a tidy old price to cause a bit more damage on this occasion. 

Placed on all three of his previous starts, including two at the Midland venue, connections were fully entitled to have a crack at the final of the Fixed Brush Series two months ago and although he acquitted himself with credit, a Class 2 event run at a sound clip throughout proved a bridge too far.

However, when you consider he was in amongst the likes of Biowavego and Alioski in the battle for the place money, who have both won since, it wasn’t a run without its positives, and even a repeat of such an effort should easily be good enough to see him competitive here this afternoon. 

STREET KID (best price 5/2) had to be considered a bit unlucky to bump into the classy Dhabab on his first outing for 77 days at Lingfield last time out, but with that run under his belt and seemingly not facing anything of that description here tonight, the son of Street Boss is fancied to get back on track. 

Over the past year, the four-year-old has developed into a proper all-weather specialist and some of his time figures both in victory and defeat have been of the very highest order – especially for the grade.

His latest performance, for instance, was right up there with the very best numbers he’s posted over the last six months and when you consider he may have won if he’d not been so keen in the early stages, it’s wise to take a positive view. 

Hopefully, Kevin Philippart De Foy’s gelding will a little less buzzy tonight now he’s had a run under his belt and with a record of 2-2 over the C&D since returning to the Midland venue last Autumn, he’s likely to take all the beating if things go his way.
