Leg 1 Selections: Harry’s Hero

HARRY’S HERO won very nicely in his second start at Musselburgh and was first past the post on his all-weather debut last time, only to be disqualified. However, this race isn’t all that strong and he might be capable of defying a penalty.

Leg 2 Selections: Victoria Falls

VICTORIA FALLS ran a solid race in defeat when second to an odds-on favourite last time and is drawn well in stall three here. This isn’t a strong race for the grade and Hugo Palmer’s filly should be thereabouts with a lot more to come.

Leg 3 Selections: Street Kid

STREET KID is really consistent and has developed into a bit of an all-weather specialist this year. He’s won twice and made the frame three times in his last five starts and while he’s up to a career-high mark, it’s hard to knock his record of late and he should be competitive.

Leg 4 Selections: The Gloaming

THE GLOAMING could never land a blow last time but she had earlier won at Musselburgh and she remains well-treated at the moment. I think she can get back on track here from her handy draw in stall one. A seven pound claimer has been booked to ride too.

Leg 5 Selections: Ellie Piper

ELLIE PIPER won over track and trip back in September and matched that form when second at Windsor last time. She has a wide draw to contend with, which isn’t ideal, but she’s in great form of late and has Luke Morris in the saddle. I can see her making a bold bid to resume winning ways in this winnable race.

Leg 6 Selections: Exquisitely

The Karl Burke-trained EXQUISITELY has improved with each start and was only beaten a nose at Newcastle last month. This race is a bit tougher but she’s heading in the right direction and could find even further improvement on her nursery debut here to potentially open her account.
