ALRIGHT SUNSHINE caught the eye in the November Handicap last time, where he travelled extremely well and was just found out in the closing stages on the heavy ground. Back on the all-weather, with fitness assured, he could be extremely competitive despite his big weight.

Leg 2 Selections: Nine Tenths 

NINE TENTHS has a nice pedigree and shaped very well when fourth on debut last time, keeping on strongly in the latter stages once getting the hang of things. With that experience under her belt, she could easily improve enough to take the spoils in this winnable opportunity.

Leg 3 Selections: Calluna

CALLUNA ran a nice race when fourth on debut here back in September and took a step forward from that effort when second at Wolverhampton last time. She’s drawn well in stall two and should have more to come, so it’s difficult to see her out of the frame in this race.

Leg 4 Selections: Absolute Queen 

ABSOLUTE QUEEN has shown promise in all three starts to date and might have been found a good opportunity to open her account. She’s been consistent so far and has a lot going for her here, including a good draw. If ready for her return, I cannot see why she doesn’t go close.

Leg 5 Selections: Omniqueen

OMNIQUEEN made a winning debut at Ascot in May and although she’s been held the last two times, those were stiff examinations and she will find this race a lot easier. If she takes to the surface dropped significantly in grade, I can envisage her winning this at the expense of Mrs U S A.

Leg 6 Selections: Carlton And Co, Never Dark

CARLTON AND CO has shown more than enough to suggest she can win a race of this calibre. She stayed on well to take fourth here the last day and should feature in the outcome again, while NEVER DARK has the form to play a leading role if back to his best.
