Architect Tips shares his Tote Placepot tips for today's racing at Chelmsford.
17:00 Chelmsford
Leg 1 Selections: Majestic Pride
MAJESTIC PRIDE ran a promising race when second on debut at Newmarket and while the form has yet to be truly tested since, Charlie Appleby’s charge sets a good standard of those with experience. He can go one place better.

Leg 2 Selections: Jeanette May, Laurentia
JEANETTE MAY is only a pound above her last winning mark and would have finished a lot closer here last time with a clear passage. In the hope lightning doesn’t strike twice, she should go close with a repeat effort. LAURENTIA finished second in that very race and has a good record here, so has to be feared off top-weight.

Leg 3 Selections: Love Poems
LOVE POEMS likes it here and showed a good attitude to win over track and trip on her penultimate start. She wasn’t disgraced in a much tougher race on the turf last time and returns to her favourite venue off the exact same mark. If able to showcase her best form, she’s entitled to be very competitive.

Leg 4 Selections: May Sonic
MAY SONIC wasn’t at his best here last time, which is uncharacteristic of him, but that was his first run in five months and he was successful off a four pounds higher mark over course-and-distance last year. Three of these are making their reappearance, while the other is making his stable/UK debut, so Charlie Hills’ charge gets a vote of confidence.

Leg 5 Selections: The Nail Gunner, Electric Love
THE NAIL GUNNER gained a third career victory at Wolverhampton on his penultimate outing and wasn’t beaten far back there last time. Off a pound lower mark, he should be thereabouts. I wouldn’t rule out ELECTRIC LOVE though, who has ran well the last two times on the all-weather and could feature in the outcome at decent odds.

Leg 6 Selections: Angle Land, Second Collection
ANGLE LAND has made the frame in all of her last four starts and has gone close the last two times over this course-and-distance. Given her current form, she might go one better. SECOND COLLECTION is six pounds below her last winning mark and has run well here before, so she could go well from a good mark.
