Following 6/1 and 7/4 winners yesterday, Steve Ryder is back with three tips for today's action.
12:25 Sedgefield
This looks a competitive 0-100 handicap hurdle but preference goes to the Danny Brooke trained SILKSTONE (best priced at 7/2) who was an impressive winner over this course and distance last time. The six-year-old returned from a short break to finish a close 2nd over this course and distance behind the progressive Lucky Lover Boy off a mark of 76 before winning in good style last time.
Silkstone stayed on well in the conditional jockeys’ handicap hurdle that day under Emma Smith-Chaston to win by 4 ½ lengths over this course and distance and he should prove hard to beat off a 6lb higher mark in this race with his rider claiming 5lbs this time.
13:45 Limerick
The lightly raced HENNING (best priced at 11/4) won on her hurdling debut last time at Clonmel and she looks well treated on her handicap debut off an opening mark of 112. The five-year-old had previously ran respectable races in her three bumpers before returning from a 224 day break to win at Clonmel on her hurdling debut.
Henning won under 7lb claimer Daniel King that day by a neck in mares maiden hurdle on soft/heavy ground and she looks well treated on her handicap debut here off an opening mark of 112 off top weight.

The favourite Sabbathical was a winner for us last time at Fakenham but he looks vulnerable under a 7lb penalty and preference instead goes to the Stuart Coltherd trained BUDARRI (best priced at 7/2). The nine-year-old was previously rated as high as 111 over fences but capitalised off a career low mark of 75 to win at Musselburgh last time.
Budarri won easily by five lengths last time which has meant the handicapper has raised him 6lbs but he still remains well treated off a mark of 81 and should prove hard to beat if in the same form.
