Architect Tips shares his Tote Placepot tips for today's action at Wolverhampton.
16:25 Wolverhampton
Leg 1 Selections: Percy Willis, Bugle Major
PERCY WILLIS likes it here, who’s won over track and trip before and ran well when second here two starts back. He’s been granted a good draw in stall four and should be thereabouts, while BUGLE MAJOR was a tad unlucky last time when third and could make amends off the exact same mark if he gets a clear passage.

Leg 2 Selections: Hooflepuff, Richard R H B
HOOFLEPUFF could go around the West Midlands venue blindfolded, as he’s won here eight times, and has to be respected given his current form in which he seeks a hat-trick of wins. RICHARD R H B is another course specialist, who’s won here three times, and was a good second here last time. He should go well with Luke Morris booked to ride.

Leg 3 Selections: Bakersboy
BAKERSBOY has only one win to his name but he’s put together two solid efforts in defeat the last two times and the last time he was seen at this course, he was second off an eleven pounds higher mark in a better-quality event. He is drawn well in stall four and has Josephine Gordon in the saddle, so a bold performance could be on the cards.

Leg 4 Selections: Selfish Brian
SELFISH BRIAN won on the turf in July and caught the eye on stable debut for this yard when fourth of 13 here last time, where he was nearest the finish despite being badly hampered at a crucial stage of the race. He goes up in trip here but if he stays, he could prove tough to best off a mark that’s within his compass based on that latest evidence.
18:25 Wolverhampton
Leg 5 Selections: Ahlawi
AHLAWI turned in a rare below-par effort last time but a repeat of his penultimate second would give him strong claims of success in this race. He is darn well in stall two and brings some of the best form to the table having made the frame three times last year in better-quality events. Despite his big weight, he cannot be ruled out with the capabilities at this level.

Leg 6 Selections: Rattling, Sir Gregory
RATTLING has won twice over course-and-distance, with the latest of those from a three pounds lower mark. He couldn’t land a blow at Chelmsford last time but has a good chance back at this venue.
SIR GREGORY has won three times this year and was unlucky here last time when beaten a neck in his attempt to win for the second consecutive time having been bumped at the start. He must enter calculations off the same mark from a decent slot in stall seven.
