Architect Tips shares his Tote Placepot tips for today's action at Chelmsford.

Leg 1 Selections: Tagabawa
Charlie Appleby has just the one runner on the card in the form of TAGABAWA, who looked potentially above-average when scoring on debut at Wolverhampton last month and is fancied to remain unbeaten.
This son of New Approach will have to shoulder a penalty as expected but the way he made rapid headway from off the pace to win going away was impressive.
William Buick has a good chance to at least bag himself three winners on the card and he can start the night off by landing the opener for his boss.

Leg 2 Selections: Cavern Club, Green Machine
As mentioned previously, William Buick has a strong book of rides and CAVERN CLUB, who’s made the frame three times in all three starts and should have more to come. He has looked a bit tricky under pressure but that hasn’t stopped him from being competitive in all three runs to date.
Additionally, the application of the ‘cheek-pieces' could be what has been needed to sort his quirkiness out and get his head in front. Andrew Balding’s debutante GREEN MACHINE heads up the list of dangers and is the backup choice in case there is a surprise winner.

Leg 3 Selections: Mighty River
MIGHTY RIVER put his experience to good use when winning from the front at Wolverhampton last-time-out and can follow-up here. James Tate’s runners are in really good form of late and the fact that William Buick has been booked to ride is a huge positive in regards to his chances.
Furthermore, it is likely he’ll be able to get a soft lead in this small-field scenario too and, if able to do so, he should prove very difficult to overhaul with more to come and the potential to rank higher for connections in due course. Kingsley Pride is feared most.

Leg 4 Selections: You’re Hired, Diamond Ranger
The Amanda Perrett-trained YOU’RE HIRED was only fifth over course-and-distance and while he has work to do to reverse the form with the winner in this rematch, the nine-year-old is nine-pounds below his last winning mark and is handicapped to play a leading role here.
That success was over track and trip in a higher-grade event plus he’s drawn ideally well here in stall four. He should go well, while George Boughey’s DIAMOND RANGER needs consideration off a relatively lenient mark with more to come and William Buick in the saddle.

Leg 5 Selections: Mountain Road
Although required to carry top-weight, MOUNTAIN ROAD has been in really good form in recent months in which he’s won his last two starts, including last time when he produced a career-best performance over track and trip last time in this grade when beating some reliable servants.
He’s clearly progressive and a four-pound rise for that latest success seems manageable given he won that race with more than a length in hand despite the runner-up having excuses. The hat-trick could therefore be on the cards here with Jamie Spencer taking over the reins too.

Leg 6 Selections: Revolutionise
The Stuart Williams-trained REVOLUTIONISE returned to the all-weather with a bang at Wolverhampton last month and he remains well-treated off 82 based on previous exploits, especially as all of his wins and placed efforts were off higher marks.
His win at Wolverhampton last year was off a sixteen-pounds higher mark, so he’s clearly capable of strong form. Off bottom-weight, returned to this steeper class of opposition, another bold display could be firmly on the cards. Joanna Mason has been booked to ride.
