Leg 1 Selections: Absolute Queen, Royal Cay
ABSOLUTE QUEEN has finished second in two of her four starts and while she could only finish fifth last-time-out, she is likely to have taken a step-forward from that display as it was her first start in about four months. Her penultimate second to Gaallib reads good form in the context of this slightly easier race, so she must have solid claims here.
ROYAL CAY has progressed with each start and finished strongly to take third at Doncaster last month. He should appreciate the return to this longer distance and Richard Fahey’s team are in decent form at the moment too. This son of Expert Eye surely has the capabilities to win a race of this nature, especially with a claimer booked to ride, who takes off an additional five-pounds to help matters.

Leg 2 Selections: Eurythmical
EURYTHMICAL hasn’t looked the easiest of rides so far given her awkward head-carriage under pressure and has a tough draw to overcome here. However, she has the best form on offer and has been thereabouts in each of her three starts to date, including when an excellent fourth last time, where she would have been closer without being denied a clear passage.
This race, however, looks a lot easier and her previous fourth at Yarmouth could hardly have worked out any stronger as the second and third have both won three times between themselves to boost the form. With lots more to come, this filly should be more than capable of going close in this grade, especially if connections have ironed out her quirkiness.

Leg 3 Selections: Abbey’s Dream, Tilt At Windmills
Archie Watson’s ABBEY’S DREAM has only found one too good in each of her last two starts, in which she’s been beaten a length in each of those, including last-time-out by a neck at Kempton. She is likely to be given a positive ride again here under Luke Morris with a good draw in stall 1 to contend with too. She could be tough to overhaul in this winnable race.
TILT AT WINDMILLS, trained by Karl Burke, shaped with plenty of promise when third of 9 on debut at Newcastle and should be suited to the longer trip on offer here. She is entitled to have learnt a lot from that experience and this isn’t the strongest of races by any means, so she could pose the biggest threat to the former with plenty more to come.

Leg 4 Selections: Longsider
Despite carrying top-weight, this 1m5f contest can go to the highest-rated runner in the field - LONGSIDER, who has winning form at this course and ran a very solid race in defeat from the front when second to Military Two Step last time when conceding two-pounds to the winner.
This race isn’t any easier but Sir Mark Prescott’s charge might have found his optimum distance and a lot of his participants' opponents have plenty to prove at the moment. Luke Morris keeps the partnership intact and his mount looks well-treated off a mark of 87 here. He makes the shortlist.

Leg 5 Selections: Sergeant Pep
An odds-on favourite with experience proved too strong on the day but SERGEANT PEP ran a really good race to finish a clear second and is likely to improve enormously from that display going into this race plus Clive Cox’s charge isn’t ideally drawn in stall eight.
However, that piece of course-and-distance from last time is valuable on his return to the West Midlands venue. Great State won nicely last time but giving seven-pounds to this potential improver might prove a tall order and therefore the former gets the vote to potentially go one better here.

Leg 6 Selections: Tone The Barone, Kaboo
TONE THE BARONE has an excellent strike-rate in this sphere and, on his last visit here, he beat Highfield Princess. That is a high-class piece of form given the second went and won multiple Group One events since and Stuart Williams’ charge is undeniably well-handicapped off a mark of 103. His form figures over track and trip reads 211 and he’s drawn lovely in stall four, so he must have huge claims in this race.
KABOO wasn’t at his best last time but that was his first start in eight months and he absolutely bolted up on his only previous visit here. He has fallen to a dangerous mark, is drawn well in stall five, and gets weight from all his rivals. If the former surprisingly underperforms, Karl Burke’s capable sprinter could easily make the frame if he has taken a step-forward from his latest return at Newcastle.
