Leg 1 Selections: Zealot, King Carney
Mick Appleby’s ZEALOT has been in awesome form this year, winning three of his six starts, and won very easily over course-and-distance last week. He has to carry a double penalty but has more to come and connections have booked William Buick to ride.
He is favourite and should prove hard to beat, while KING CARNEY might surprise a few large odds. He has been majorly disappointing of late but is well-treated given he was rated as high as 100 a couple of years ago and could sneak into the frame for his in-form handler.

Leg 2 Selections: Dubai Immo, Glam Puss
The Marco Botti-trained DUBAI IMMO was slightly below-form when only third here nine days ago but he has already made the frame seven times on the all-weather and brings some of the strongest form-lines into this race.
This isn’t a strong race for the grade, so there’s every incline he will be competitive here. GLAM PUSS made a promising start to her career when second to potentially high-class sort and, with no calibre of opponent in this field, she might be able to go one better.

Leg 3 Selections: Hiatus, Ready Reckoner
HIATUS has been running in better races than this so far in his career and has performed with credit in most of them. He ran a fine race behind an odds-on favourite last time and is dropped into a class six for the first time in his career, so he could be about to strike.
READY RECKONER will be fitted with headgear and that could bring about further improvement having displayed promise in most of his starts to date. He wasn’t beaten far in this grade last time, so if the step up in trip has a positive effect, he could go very well for a stable who are ticking along nicely at present.

Leg 4 Selections: Gifted Gold
Karl Burke’s GIFTED GOLD won impressively on her debut at Newcastle and it was understandable that she struggled when stepped up massively in grade in a Group Three next time.
She has a fairly long absence to overcome but she could be too good for these and is fancied to go close on her return despite giving her nearest market rival seven-pounds.

Leg 5 Selections: Twilight Madness, Army Of India
TWILIGHT MADNESS has won six of his 22 starts on the Flat and completed a hat-trick over track and trip nine days ago, where he travelled smoothly and quickened up nicely to win by over a length. He is forced to shoulder a penalty and has gone up five-pounds but he’s in rude health and should be tough to beat.
ARMY OF INDIA is four pounds above his last winning mark but his last win did come over course-and-distance and has put together two solid efforts in defeat to suggest his turn might again be near. His latest third in a higher-grade race is a strong piece of form and repeat showing could be enough to see him take the spoils.

Leg 6 Selections: Politics, So Grateful
POLITICS stepped up from his previous efforts to win comfortably over course-and-distance two weeks ago and has only been raised four-pounds as a result which makes his mark seemingly still on the lenient side. He was second around this time last year off a mark of 81, so he is handicapped to go in again in his current mood.
SO GRATEFUL has won three times this year and wasn’t beaten far behind Twilight Madness who goes in one of the earlier races. This four-year-old is proving to be really consistent on the all-weather and off the same mark as last time back down in this grade, he could easily make his presence felt here.
