Leg 1 Selections: Furnicoe, Harry With Style
Colors Of Freedom might be caught for a bit of speed over this trip and preference instead goes to FURNICOE, who has shown a lot of early speed in her races and should have the tactical pace to hold a good position back over this trip down in grade. A repeat of her latest second might be good enough to see her upset the favourite here.
HARRY WITH STYLE was below-form when last spotted but the application of this headgear and a good-value claimer taking off seven-pounds could result in a better performance. He ran very well over course-and-distance on her penultimate start when fourth and a reproduction of that effort should see him competitive.

Leg 2 Selections: Haaland, Aesthetic
HAALAND seemed really well-suited to a chance of tactics when ridden more positively en route to winning on his handicap debut under this bright young rider four days ago. He was granted a soft lead but that was still an impressive performance and this longer trip promises to bring about further improvement. He could supplement that latest success by following up in this race.
AESTHETIC was behind the former when they met last time but is another who should be suited to this longer distance and a better performance is anticipated here given he was sent off odds-on favourite for that latest race too. His trainer is in red-hot form with four winners from his last seven runners at the time of recording here too, so he is a huge danger.

Leg 3 Selections: Trabajo Detacho, She’s A Rocket
TRABAJO DETACHO has generally been competing in stronger events than this and wasn’t disgraced when dropped into this grade for the first time here three weeks ago. The return to this trip should see him in better light as he was third in a class five at Newcastle back in September. He has a fair chance under his valuable claimer who takes off five pounds.
SHE’S A ROCKET has left plenty to work on in each start to date and while she does need to step up on what she has shown, that is possible in this weak race. She is drawn well in stall four and this will be only her second start in class six company, so she could pose a bigger threat here.

Leg 4 Selections: Eligible, Barney’s Bay
The in-form ELIGIBLE couldn’t arrive into this race in better form and clearly likes this course having landed a second course-and-distance win three weeks ago under a good ride. He has to contend with a five pounds higher mark but looks poised to make a bold bid in his hat-trick attempt under Joanna Mason.
BARNEY’S BAY is also a course winner, who has made the frame in three of his last four starts and kept on well to take third at Newcastle last-time-out. He has lots of wins and placed efforts to his name off higher marks, so he has strong possibilities of at least making the frame in this from bottom-weight.

Leg 5 Selections: Willing To Please, Tea Garden
WILLING TO PLEASE wasn’t quite at her best when midfield over track and trip last time but she is two pounds below her last winning mark and twice made the frame on the all-weather last year off higher marks. If she can take a step forward from her latest effort, she shouldn’t be far away from a handy mark.
TEA GARDEN returned a decent fourth of 12 at his course just over two weeks ago and this former course-and-distance winner, who did just that on handicap debut here, has a solid chance. She is drawn wide, which isn’t great, but she is more consistent than most of these and should be able to make her presence felt.

Leg 6 Selections: Harry Magnus, The X O
The progression HARRY MAGNUS has made in each of his three starts and that makes him worthy of inclusion in leg six. He did well to finish second last time despite racing keenly and, with a lot more to come, Charlie Hills’ participant should be competitive here and might go one better than last time.
THE X O proved no match for a strong favourite on debut but shaped with bundles of promise and will have learnt a lot from that promising first effort for his trainer. Luke Morris takes over the reins on this occasion and, from an ideal draw in stall two, he has solid credentials.
