Leg 1 Selections: Boucle, Al Ghanim

BOUCLE hasn’t been able to land a blow in all three starts but has a good chance in this race with more to come. She is her trainer's only runner on the card and should be suited to the longer trip here, so she gets the marginal choice in what is a tricky opener. AL GHANIM ran his best race when fourth at Lingfield last time when not beaten far and his connections are in fantastic form of late which bodes well for his chances here. Tom Marquand takes the ride and should be thereabouts with more to come in leg 1.

Leg 2 Selections: Garrick Street, Harry Magnus

A chance is taken on GARRICK STREET, who ran a race full of promise when a keeping-on fourth on debut and whilst the form has received mixed results since, he shouldn’t be underestimated here and could be competitive. HARRY MAGNUS was turned over at a short price last time but the winner has gone close again since, so the form has some substance and if the return to this longer trip has a positive effect, he should go close to getting off the mark in leg 2.

Leg 3 Selections: Bawaader, Faithful Spirit

BAWAADER has been in excellent form since the start of the year, in which he has won his last two starts and is only a pound lower than the latest of those wins. He absolutely routed his opposition over course-and-distance two starts ago and has a great chance to complete his hat-trick. FAITHFUL SPIRIT was too keen last time when only seventh but is better than that and she might be worth another chance whilst her stable remains amongst the winners of late.

Leg 4 Selections: Sofia Cat, Shot

Ralph Beckett’s SOFIA CAT could pose a big threat here in leg 4. This filly has shown promise in all three starts to date and makes her handicap debut off a handy mark against a moderate field. She could go close with Rossa Ryan taking the ride for the first time, while SHOT shaped with encouragement when third on her handicap/stable debut over track and trip a fortnight ago and makes appeal off the same mark in this slightly easier assignment.

Leg 5 Selections: Dyed In The Wool, Prince Nabeel

Richard Fahey and Billy Garritty have their only runner and ride on the card in the shape of DYED IN THE WOOL, who is sure to be of interest on the back of a smooth success at Newcastle three weeks ago. The step up in distance could suit and he could take some beating here. PRINCE NABEEL was only touched off by a neck last time at Southwell and is a pound lower for this race, so this three-year-old could have a big part to play in the finish in leg 5.

Leg 6 Selections: Coltor, First Emperor

COLTOR ran to a useful level over hurdles and on the Flat when trained by Dermot Weld in Ireland and was last seen running well to finish fifth at the Curragh off a mark of 87. He makes his course/stable debut off a pound lower mark and could go well with Tom Marquand in the saddle. Of the others, FIRST EMPEROR won on the column the other day at a huge price and is interesting despite being turned out quickly in his follow-up bid here in leg 6.
