Leg 1 Selections: Hermino Aa

This could be a good day for the Moore team and HERMINO AA will be fancied to get favourite backers off to a good start in leg 1. He finished second in a bumper on debut at Ascot and then improved on that to finish third on his hurdles debut at Doncaster. He should be able to build on that promise and go close to taking the opener.

Leg 2 Selections: Shaw’s Cross, Heron Creek

SHAW’S CROSS has been in good form since the turn of the year and has made the frame in four of his last six starts. The return to this shorter distance will suit him better than his last two races over further, so he is one to consider in leg 2. HERON CREEK made a winning handicap debut in April and, although his latest performances have left a lot to be desired, the handicapper has given him a realistic chance.

Leg 3 Selections: Poncho

This can go to the Gary Moore-trained PONCHO, who has shaped promisingly in all three starts to date, including when second on his hurdles debut last-time-out. He probably would have won without making a mistake at the second last hurdle but, nevertheless, he has a good chance to make amends here. He is the only pick in this leg and should take a lot of beating with that latest experience under his belt.

Leg 4 Selections: Burrows Park, Revasser

BURROWS PARK returned to winning ways when scoring in good style at Exeter just under three weeks ago and, although he is six pounds higher in this race, he has defied higher marks in the past. He remains well-treated on previous form and could follow-up in this race. REVASSER ran his best race over hurdles when fourth last time and despite this being tougher, he is open to further improvement and could make the frame.

Leg 5 Selections: High Up In The Air, Sizing Cusimano

HIGH UP IN THE AIR hasn’t been anywhere near his best for a while but he is 12 pounds below his last winning mark and would have excellent claims if able to rediscover some of his historical form in this race. SIZING CUSIMANO has slipped to a dangerous mark and is seven pounds lower than when winning by 27 lengths in May last year. He could go well off top-weight with Brendan Powell in the saddle.

Leg 6 Selections: Executive Pool, Any Biscuits

EXECUTIVE POOL has made the frame in his last three starts and although beaten a long way into third last time, the better ground will suit and he shouldn’t be underestimated off a lenient-looking mare for the Moore’s. Harry Derham has made a good start to his training career and ANY BISCUITS might have been let in lightly on handicap debut of 92 here. He could pose a threat here.
