Architect Tips shares his Tote Placepot tips for today's action at Wolverhampton.

Leg 1 Selections: Dark Design, My Boy Jack
DARK DESIGN ran a very good race when runner-up in this grade last month at Chelmsford and the way he finished his strongly suggests he will be better back over this longer distance. From the same mark as last time, alongside a good draw in stall five, he gets the main vote here. MY BOY JACK made the frame eight times last year off higher marks, including twice at this course, and could go well from a nice slot in stall two.

Leg 2 Selections: Na Scoitear, Seagrave Fox
NA SCOITEAR pulled well clear with the eventual winner when second at Newcastle when last spotted and, on that evidence, he will be suited to the return to this longer trip. A similar performance to last time, off the same mark, should see him go close. SEAGRAVE FOX ran a good race to finish third when dropped into this grade for the first time at Southwell and, with the winner scoring again since, the form has a lot of substance. He must have sound claims.

Leg 3 Selections: Paddy’s Day, Huberts Dream
PADDY’S DAY has yet to add to his debut Windsor victory but has been highly tried since, including at Royal Ascot. He ran a fine race when dropped into this grade last time to finish third and gets a lovely draw in three here, so Charlie Hills’ charge makes appeal. HUBERTS DREAM went off way too fast last time and could only finish fifth. He won three on the bounce prior to that though, so he could get back on track here back over the shorter trip. He is drawn well to attack as well in stall one.

Leg 4 Selections: Abnaa, Tothenines, Conservative
ABNAA has been in smashing form of late, winning the last two times, and while he has gone up in the weights, the hat-trick could be on the cards. TOTHENINES has placed multiple times off higher marks and ran a good race when second on his last visit here from a four pounds higher mark. He should be competitive, while CONSERVATIVE should strip fitter from his reappearance and was only beaten a nose on his sole previous visit to the course. He is another consider in leg 4 here.

Leg 5 Selections: Mint Edition, Quizlet
MINT EDITION surely completes the hat-trick here if he can produce a similar showing to when he scored three days ago. Despite being slow from the gates, he cruised into contention and powered to a four lengths success from a previous winner. This time, he has to shoulder a penalty, but that might not prevent him from going in again. His main danger could be QUIZLET, who takes a significant ease in grade ahead of his handicap debut and surely has a lot more to come. He is the back-up choice to the former in leg 5.

Leg 6 Selections: Glen Buck
If we get to leg 6, it is hard to see past the warm favourite GLEN BUCK, who did plenty wrong on his debut at Newcastle but still proved too good for his rivals. He is Roger Varian’s only runner of the day and the rest of the field don’t appeal much, especially those with experience. The former should have improvement to offer and is strongly fancied to remain unbeaten here.
