Leg 1 Selections: Dalamoi, Quick Draw

DALAMOI created a nice impression when winning on his chase debut and while he has been well-held the last two times, he could get back on track here. QUICK DRAW, who is the only other runner in the race, has won his last two starts in this sphere and could be up to completing the hat-trick in the opener.

Leg 2 Selections: Mortlach, Fast Buck

MORTLACH has been highly tried in this sphere and while he hasn’t won any of them, those efforts have been behind good opponents. He could open his account here with more to come, while FAST BUCK ran well behind a good horse last time and seems to be back to something near his best, so he is the biggest danger.

Leg 3 Selections: Diamond Egg

Chris Gordon’s DIAMOND EGG got not further than the first on his hurdles debut but won a fair bumper beforehand and has potential to be quite useful in this sphere. He could make amends here at the expense of Boom Boom, who ran below form at Ascot when last spotted.

Leg 4 Selections: Tintintin

TINTINTIN ran a good race when runner-up to a subsequent winner under a penalty at Huntingdon in December and won nicely on his hurdles debut the time before that. He has plenty more to offer and is the one to beat in what is a weak contest.

Leg 5 Selections: Flying Nun, Chloe’s Court

FLYING NUN seemed inconvenienced by the longer distance and deep ground last time and is better judged on her ability earlier form. She looks well-treated now and could get back to winning ways, while CHLOE’S COURT should be competitive from this mark.

Leg 6 Selections: Alto Alto, Trapista

ALTO ALTO hasn’t been at the races the last two times but a repeat of his earlier second at Ascot would give him a chance in this. Meanwhile, TRAPISTA has shaped well in each of her three chase starts and could be the answer with improvement on the cards.
