Architect Tips shares his Tote Placepot tips for today's action at Carlisle.
13:15 Carlisle
Leg 1 Selections: Whitehaven, Some Scope
WHITEHAVEN has some good form to his name on the Flat and shaped with promise when third on his hurdles debut. He could be a major player for the in-form Donald McCain team. SOME SCOPE has also shaped with promise over hurdles, in both starts, and is feared most with the potential to do better.
13:45 Carlisle
Leg 2 Selections: Altobelli
ALTOBELLI is unbeaten in two starts under rules and the form of his bumper success has been boosted by the second who has since finished second in a decent Grade 2. Harry Fry’s charge could turn out to be above-average and is taken to make it three wins from three starts.
14:15 Carlisle
Leg 3 Selections: Eyre Square, Paddy The Horse
Irish raider EYRE SQUARE wasn’t beaten far in a beginners chase last time at Down Royal when fourth and has the services of Johnny Burke here, so he could play a leading role. PADDY THE HORSE fell in his hat-trick bid last time and while the result proved inconclusive, he could make amends here.
14:45 Carlisle
Leg 4 Selections: Red Reminder, Red Vision
RED REMINDER has been well beaten in her last two starts but is three pounds below her last winning mark and could go well at large odds, though RED VISION is starting to look nicely treated and has a good chance now dropped into this grade for the first time in his career.
15:15 Carlisle
Leg 5 Selections: Lord Roco, Post Chaise
LORD ROCO ran to a useful level over hurdles and has subsequently finished second in all three chase starts, beaten only half a length in the last two races. He could go one better, although POST CHAISE is seeking a hat-trick of wins after bolting up at Huntingdon last time and is next best.
15:50 Carlisle
Leg 6 Selections: Captain Zebo, Mexico
CAPTAIN ZEBO won over course-and-distance off a much higher mark back in 2020 and has fallen to a dangerous mark. He could knock out a number of units at large odds. MEXICO will find this easier than the Grade 2 he contested last time and is one to consider under Johnny Burke.
