Architect Tips shares his Tote Placepot tips for today's action at Southwell.

Leg 1 Selections: The Tron, Arzaak
THE TRON doesn’t win that often and remains four-pounds above his last winning mark but his record over course-and-distance at this level reads 212302202 and he was beaten only a head here last time.
He is a player, and so too is the speedy ARZAAK, who has won three times over course-and-distance and was unlucky not to win here three weeks ago when a narrow second.

Leg 2 Selections: Rose King
Scott Dixon’s ROSE KING won a minor event at this course on her debut and her performance can be upgraded considering how keenly she had raced throughout.
This is tougher but the form of her debut victory has some substance given the second has won since so, with more to come, she is greatly respected.

Leg 3 Selections: Defence Treaty, Six Strings
DEFENCE TREATY boasts course-winning form and returned to something near his best when second here 11 days ago. He is up a pound but the step up in trip could suit and he’s a danger to all in this moderate contest.
Of the remainder, a chance will be taken on the well-treated SIX STRINGS, who could also have a part to play in this race given he remains on his last successful mark and has lots of form over this distance.

Leg 4 Selections: Ramensky, Regal Empire
The fitting of blinkers and a step up in trip saw RAMENSKY bolt up on his all-weather debut at Wolverhampton last-time-out and he holds strong claims with more to come.
REGAL EMPIRE won easily on his first visit here two starts back and could go well on his handicap debut with his trainer in pretty decent form too.

Leg 5 Selections: Plastic Paddy, Tropez Power
PLASTIC PADDY should prove to be just as effective at this venue and a four-pound rise for his latest success might have underestimated his chances. That isn’t overly-excessive, so a strong case can be made for him here.
TROPEZ POWER won over track and trip in December and is considered given he went close last time off only a two pounds lower mark.

Leg 6 Selections: Lion Ring, Al Suil Eile
LION RING is a long-standing maiden but he’s joined a powerful stable and that might be the catalyst for him to open his account.
AL SUIL EILE ran well when fourth here last time and this former course-and-distance winner is two pounds below his last successful mark. From a good draw in stall two, he should make a bold bid.
