Leg 1 Selections: Pass The Love On, Dersy Social

This is a weak race to start the card, so while PASS THE LOVE ON has only shown fair form to date in all three starts to date, she should prove hard to beat if able to take any sort of step forward from her hurdles debut fifth last time.

DERSY SOCIAL could be the alternative option though, who I know was beaten a long way last time but could progress here with her trainer very much amongst the winners.

Leg 2 Selections: Baikal, Arqoob

BAIKAL has achieved a decent level of form on the Flat with the standout piece of form being his neck second at Doncaster in a class 3. He makes his stable/hurdles debut in what isn’t the strongest of events and could go well at a large price.

ARQOOB probably sets the standard and was runner-up over track and trip on his hurdles debut. He could get back on track following a laboured fourth in a better race last time.

Leg 3 Selections: Counteract, On The Platform

COUNTERACT won his first two starts in this sphere and whilst he’s yet to add to those wins since, he caught the eye when third over course-and-distance last time. He drops in grade here off the same mark and must enter calculations.

ON THE PLATFORM pushed a warm favourite close at Hereford last time and did defy a higher mark than this over hurdles back in 2021. He should be extremely competitive.

Leg 4 Selections: Swinging London, Denable

SWINGING LONDON ran a good race in the Boodles at the Cheltenham Festival last year off a mark of 124 and is essentially eight pounds lower in this race. He ran well when third at Sandown last time and Lewis Stones can claim his valuable five pounds.

DENABLE has been in really good form this year and has won twice plus finished second in his last three starts over hurdles. He has been raised five pounds for finishing second last time but this race is easier and he cannot be dismissed.

Leg 5 Selections: Striking A Pose

This is competitive, as none can be ruled out lightly, but Joe Tizzard has his team in good order of late and his only runner of the day STRIKING A POSE could go very well off a career-low mark in this sphere.

He won a good race on his chase debut off a five pounds higher mark and has been shaping better than the beaten margins have indicated since. The seven-year-old has possibilities and is the only one I like.

Leg 6 Selections: Let's Go Amigo, Robbie Dazzler

LET’S GO AMIGO has yet to build on his promising hurdles debut second at Leicester but this is the easiest race so far for him in this sphere and after finishing fourth on his handicap debut last time, the longer trip should see him to better effect.

In addition, the first-time cheekpieces will be applied as well, which could signal further improvement. He can hopefully make a bold bid. ROBBIE DAZZLER, who has finished second the last two times, also makes the shortlist.
