Leg 1 Selections: Seas Of Elzaam, Kath’s Toyboy
SEAS OF ELZAAM was only seventh at Kempton last time but his last visit here resulted with success over course-and-distance off a pound higher mark. He is drawn well in stall four and should be able to recapture his best form with plenty in his favour.
Meanwhile, KATH’S TOYBOY was nearest the finish when third at Newcastle last time and merits consideration of a pound lower mark with the blinkers refitted.

Leg 2 Selections: My Boy Jack, Della Mare
MY BOY JACK made it fifth time lucky at this course when winning by a head here last time and while he is back up a couple of pounds, he should go well if able to deliver a similar performance to last time.
Of the remainder, DELLA MARE won two of her four starts last year and shouldn’t be far away in this moderate contest, which marks up the second leg of the pool.

Leg 3 Selections: Inspired Knowhow, South Dakota Sioux
INSPIRED KNOWHOW has shaped with promise in each of his three starts and moves into handicap company off a really lenient mark dropped in grade. He could easily be involved.
SOUTH DAKOTA SIOUX got his head in front. He has finished second in three of his last six starts and is only a pound higher for his latest third. Perhaps this is the day he comes good plus he has a nice draw to help his chances

Leg 4 Selections: Class Member
CLASS MEMBER displayed significant improvement from his debut fourth to finish runner-up at Southwell just under two weeks ago, beaten only half-a-length.
She is George Boughey’s only runner on the card and is open to play more improvement, so this filly by Charm Spirit is expected to go close in leg four.

Leg 5 Selections: Prydwen, Base Note
PRYDWEN wasn’t able to make any late inroads when only seventh last time but this is a slightly easier race and he should be able to take a step forward from that assignment as well. He gets a good slot in stall five and should give the favourite plenty to think about.
BASS NOTE won very smoothly over track and trip back in December in this grade and has run well in each start since. He could only muster fifth last time off this mark but he is drawn well to attack and his record at the course reads 22112. He is a solid Placepot option in leg five.

Leg 6 Selections: Greystroke, Heathen
GREYSTROKE produced a good second over track and trip three weeks ago and his overall form at this course reads 212 from just three starts. Ideally, a lower draw would have been preferred than nine, but he’s got the form to be extremely competitive.
HEATHEN turned in a career-best performance when last seen and while he has been raised a hefty eight pounds, Oisin Murphy has been booked to ride, he is drawn well in stall three and he has more to offer. He could take some beating in the sixth leg.
