Leg 1 Selections: Stormy Flight

Jeremy Scott’s STORMY FLIGHT has improved with each start over fences and went one better than his Chepstow second when sauntering to success at Taunton last month. He is up nine-pounds but this race looks no stronger, so the top-weight is fancied to double his tally over timber in the opener.

Leg 2 Selections: Sniper Point, Walk Of No Shame

SNIPER POINT has run to a fairly useful level on several occasions in France and was last seen winning in good style on New Year’s Day. If he is able to run to that form on his stable/UK debut, he should go close. WALK OF NO SHAME improved from his hurdles debut to win last month and is heavily respected with a lot more to offer. Two against the field in leg two.

Leg 3 Selections: Bluffmeifyoucan, Jet Smart

BLUFFMEIFYOUCAN isn’t exactly consistent but ran a very good race to finish runner-up to the useful Fountains Chief last time and a similar showing here might well suffice. JET SMART shaped encouragingly on his hurdles debut at Ascot and while he hasn’t matched that in three starts since, he might be able to get involved in this winnable race from an exploitable mark.

Leg 4 Selections: Polar Cloud, Gyenyame

POLAR CLOUD ended last season on the Flat with two consecutive wins and despite being absent since, he could be the type to excel now tackling hurdles for the first time. GYENYAME also showcased decent form on the Flat and caught the eye when a staying-on third here last month. He should appreciate the step up in distance and is a big player with more to come.

Leg 5 Selections: Twilight Glory

TWILIGHT GLORY is fancied to outpoint the top-weight Lightonthewing in leg five. Tim Vaughan’s charge has improved with each start in this sphere and opened his account in game style at Lingfield when last spotted, beating a 102-rated individual. He takes on lower-rated opponents in this race, so he must have every chance of going in again from only a three-pounds higher mark than for that latest success.

Leg 6 Selections: Tedwin Hills, Electric Annie

TEDWIN HILLS ran his best race to date when second here last time and will go into handicapping off a nice opening mark of 97. He holds good claims in a race that shouldn’t take a lot of winning, though ELECTRIC ANNIE’s only two wins in her career have been at this course, which will count for plenty. She was beaten a long way into fourth last time but is worth another chance in leg six.
