Leg 1 Selections: Solanna, Come On John

SOLANNA won three on the spin around this time last year and ran a fine race when third off this mark last time. He should be thereabouts given his good record around this time of year, while the bottom-weight COME ON JOHN gets the services of Oisin Murphy. He is down to a career-low mark and is six pounds below his last winning mark, so is feared most in the opener.

Leg 2 Selections: Lexington Hero

A chance is taken on LEXINGTON HERO, who makes more appeal than his two nearest market rivals. He won in good style here two starts ago before matching that form with an excellent second here last time. This is a significant step up in grade but he has shaped as though he would appreciate it plus he comes out best at the weights as well. He’s a major contender.

Leg 3 Selections: American Rose, Savannah Smiles

AMERICAN ROSE has been running in stronger events than this after four starts and kept on well to finish a respectable on her handicap debut last time. Off a three-pounds lower mark in this easier race, she must enter calculations here. SAVANNAH SMILES should be able to improve from her latest handicap debut sixth now dropped in distance and class.

Leg 4 Selections: Divine Rapture, Painters Palette

DIVINE RAPTURE was well-supported ahead of her debut and she proved inexperience to be no barrier, as she won with plenty up her sleeve and gets the chance to maintain her unbeaten record. PAINTERS PALETTE has made the frame in all of his last three starts in Ireland and makes his stable debut off a really nice mark. He should be extremely competitive if he can produce his Irish form on the all-weather.

Leg 5 Selections: Heath Rise

HEATH RISE won back-to-back events in 2021 off higher marks, 62 and 66, and was only beaten a neck of 69 next time. He returned from a year off to finish last the next twice but got back on track with an eye-catching second when last spotted and the step up in trip could unlock a lot more improvement. He remains well-handicapped based on his previous exploits, so he must have every chance if he stays.

Leg 6 Selections: Letmelivemylife, Candy Worhol

LETMELIVEMYLIFE won for the third time in his career when beating a decent field at Chelmsford when last seen. His only previous start over track and trip resulted with success off a three pounds higher mark, so he’s a danger to all in this field. CANDY WORHOL drops in grade after showing promise in all starts to date and could give the former most to think about back over this favourable trip.
