Leg 1 Selections: Lynns Boy, Saaheq, Han Solo Berger

LYNNS BOY won over course-and-distance around this time last year and is only a pound above that mark for this race. He has produced multiple placed efforts since he resumed winning ways at Wolverhampton two starts ago. He backed that up with a good third last time and must enter calculations with Luke Morris back in the saddle.

SAAHEQ is also back on his last winning mark, which came in a better race than this and is a player, while HAN SOLO BERGER gets the assistance of Oisin Murphy and is seven-pounds below his last winning mark. He has won fresh in the past, so fitness will be no concern and he could be thereabouts.

Leg 2 Selections: Sweet William, Al Asmakh

SWEET WILLIAM finished runner-up in both starts last year, where he was unbeaten under half-a-length in each of them and was beaten only a neck on his debut on the all-weather. This son of Sea The Stars must have a strong chance of going one place better on his return in this winnable race.

AL ASMAKH might emerge as the biggest danger, who ran very well when third on debut and should know more in this race. He is drawn well in stall 3 and should be the one to capitalise if the favourite doesn’t manage to succeed.

Leg 3 Selections: Dubai Jeanius, My Silent Song

DUBAI JEANIUS has been in superb form since the turn of the year, winning five on the spin at this course over various distances and was unlucky not to make it six in a row last time when beaten half-a-length. He was stopped in his tracks twice but flew home when in the clear and is fancied to go well again from his higher mark.

MY SILENT SONG found the step up in grade too much when last spotted but back down in class, he has a chance. He is drawn in the car park in stall 12 but is only two pounds above his last successful mark and is Ed Dunlop’s only runner on the card. He isn’t without a chance of making the frame if he can overcome his bad draw.

Leg 4 Selections: Mubhijah

The fourth race can go the way of Roger Varian’s MUBHIJAH, who progressed with each start last year and made the frame three times on the spin in decent events on the turf to suggest she has every chance in this sort of assignment.

She makes her all-weather debut in this easier race than last time and the booking of Jim Crowley catches the eye as well. This filly could improve for the combination of the step up in trip and all-weather surface.

Leg 5 Selections: Tondeuse, Nuthatch

TONDEUSE has been highly tried since running well on her debut and although her only below-par effort was at this course, she has improved since and her latest fourth was decent. She is drawn well in stall 2 and therefore Karl Burke’s filly should be going close in a race like this.

NUTHATCH also displayed promise when fifth on her debut at this course before opening her account at the second time of asking. She did her level best to finish third behind two highly-promising prospects last time and should be on the premises with more to come.

Leg 6 Selections: Gunnerside, Giselles Izzy

GUNNERSIDE could represent a bit of value, who has been a model of consistency in defeat this year and is 15 pounds below his last winning mark, which came in a tougher race. He has made the frame in both starts at this course this year and is a leading contender despite his odds suggesting he is one of the outsiders in the field

GISELLES IZZY remains three pounds above her last winning mark but that win was over this course-and-distance and her two recent placed efforts over track and trip reads well. Her form at this course reads 1332 from four starts and she is Iain Jardine’s sole runner at the course, so she’s considered in leg 6.
