10bet Grand National Offer: 50% up to £50 bonus for Grand National
Architect Tips Selection: DELTA WORK (9/1)
The most likely winner of the shorter-priced runners, and where I'd be looking at for this 10Bet Grand National offer, is dual cross-country winner and last year’s third DELTA WORK, who is a pound lower than last year. He was too far back to make any sort of impact but stayed on well to grab third, albeit beaten 22 lengths.
That experience will have done him the world of good and he handles all types of conditions. He is better off at the weights with Noble Yeats and Any Second Now and displayed plenty of class and staying power to see off Galvin at Cheltenham last time.
Corach Rambler is 10 pounds well-in at the weights but his run style suggests he is going to need a lot of luck-in running and he has never competed over a trip this far in his career.
One For Arthur won this for connections back in 2017 but he had course form and proved he stayed further, so it is hard to compare the two and I suspect he might find this happening all too quickly, while Noble Yeats is 19 pounds higher than last year and it is hard to see him winning this again.
Gordon Elliott’s charge is the best handicapped horse of those shorter-price runners and Keith Donoghue, who keeps the ride, gave him a great ride at Cheltenham last time. He has been well-found in the market and maybe last year was his winning chance but either way he ticks a lot of the main trends and makes the most appeal of those towards the top end of the market.
Coral and Ladbrokes Grand National Offer: Paying Six Places on the Grand National
Architect Tips Selection: LIFETIME AMBITION (28/1)
Jessica Harrington has firmly had the Grand National in mind for LIFETIME AMBITION for the best part of a year and while he has yet to prove he stays this far, his trainer is adamant he will appreciate the extra yardage. He's certainly one to consider with extra places available.
Lifetime Ambition would certainly be a fitting winner given his excellent trainer is currently fighting breast cancer and has just about won everything in the game except this illustrious prize.
Her participant jumped and travelled beautifully when he finished fourth in the Grand Sefton on his return and warmed up for this with a spin over hurdles last time, when third behind Summerville Boy.
The eight-year-old is remarkably consistent and is a good-looking old-fashioned chaser, who also ran well to finish third behind Galopin Des Champs in the John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase.
He is on a nice mark, a nice weight and Jessica Harrington has gone close in this race before with Magic Of Light. He is a terrific jumper, who will be up with the early pace and I can honestly see him running a big race.
With Ladbrokes and Coral both paying six places on this race, I think it makes Lifetime Ambition a good each-way bet for the Grand National.
