Leg 1 Selections: One More Dream

ONE MORE DREAM is unbeaten in two runs at this course and was well on top of his rivals when powering clear over course-and-distance two weeks ago. He has been hit with a five pounds rise but he has plenty more to come and should take plenty of stopping in the opener.

Leg 2 Selections: G’daay

In leg 2, I fancy G’DAAY to take the spoils, who is a three-time course-and-distance winner and makes his reappearance from a handy mark despite being three pounds higher than when last successful. Conversely in better light though, Oisin Murphy rides, so he should give a good account of himself here.

Leg 3 Selections: Dynamic Talent

DYNAMIC TALENT is a speculative pick in leg 3, who won three times last year and ran well on his last visit to this course. He is back on the same mark as when he won at Wolverhampton in September and his draw in stall six isn’t bad either. Most of the field have a chance, including himself, who has the ability to figure.

Leg 4 Selections: Believing

BELIEVING ran a decent race on her return when fifth of 15 to Mammas Girl in the Nell Gwyn Stakes at Newmarket and will find this drop in grade easier. She was second in a pair of Group 2’s last year, and one of those was the last time she ran on the all-weather. I think she will be extremely hard to topple in leg 4.

Leg 5 Selections: Raven’s Applause

RAVEN’S APPLAUSE ran green on debut at Pontefract but is fancied to build on the promise he showed when not beaten far and make more of an impact in leg 5. With the exception of a couple, none of the rest make any sort of appeal, so Ed Dunlop’s charge should go well here.

Leg 6 Selections: Twayblade

The sixth race can go to TWAYBLADE who relished front-running tactics at Yarmouth last time and is drawn well in stall 2 to attack early in this race. He his up five pounds for winning last time but that shouldn’t prevent another bold bid in what is a moderate event. He is the one to beat.
