Leg 1 Selections: Confederation, Wadi Bani

A winner on his final start for John Butler, CONFEDERATION posted his best effort for this stable when second at Kempton in January and was unlucky not to win that day as he practically threw the race away in the closing stages.

As a result, his mark has gone back up another two pounds but he should still be thereabouts at the very least. WADI BANI ran poorly last time after a promising return third at Chelmsford but has the services of Oisin Murphy and could go well.

Leg 2 Selections: Palmer Bay, Revenue

Ralph Beckett knows how to ready a newcomer and PALMER BAY, who has already attracted plenty of support, has a chance in this small-field winnable opportunity in race two.

REVENUE did beat a subsequent winner on debut at Brighton though, so despite carrying a penalty, he is the main danger. Macedonian King and Tears Of A Clown need improvement to feature.

Leg 3 Selections: Circuit Breaker, Orange N Blue

Another debutant on the card from the Ralph Beckett stable is CIRCUIT BREAKER, who has a smashing pedigree plus Rossa Ryan takes the ride. He wouldn’t need to be anything special to go well here, therefore he is worth inclusion.

ORANGE N BLUE displayed inexperience but plenty of promise when fifth on debut at Newmarket in a race that should work out well and is sure to know more here, so he is expected to be competitive.

Leg 4 Selections: Lunatick, Nothing To Sea

LUNATICK has left the impression he has more to come after two starts, including when steadily keeping on to finish fourth when last spotted.

He has undergone wind surgery since he was last in action plus connections have booked Oisin Murphy to ride. This isn’t a strong race, so he could run well.

Meanwhile, Ralph Beckett’s NOTHING TO SEA was runner-up on his debut at Sandown and could be tough to beat now stepping up in trip on seasonal reappearance.

Leg 5 Selections: Splendent

SPLENDENT ran a tidy race on his return at Haydock when sixth of 13 and was second on his only previous visit here from a four pounds higher mark.

The winner of that race is now rated 95, so this four-year-old is no doubt well-handicapped off 79 with a run under his belt as well.

He ran well on his only previous start on soft ground when second to a 99-rated horse too, so there is a lot to like about his chances.

Leg 6 Selections: Bang On The Bell, Concierge

The hat-trick could be on the cards for BANG ON THE BELL, who supplemented his success at Wolverhampton with a win on soft ground at Yarmouth two weeks ago.

He is only two pounds higher for this race and Oisin Murphy will take the ride. He is surely the one to beat, though CONCIERGE is well-treated on historical form and has a decent chance on these terms.
