Leg 1 Selections: Martello Sky, Universal Folly

MARTELLO SKY is an extremely consistent mare who has placed in Listed/Grade events this season. She has by far the best form of this match-up and should have too much class for UNIVERSAL FOLLY with a clear round but just in case she doesn’t get the job done, I’ll cover the latter too.

Leg 2 Selections: Blue Clover

BLUE CLOVER placed three times in bumpers and ran well on her hurdles debut at Stratford when second. She should have plenty more to come from a stable who is prone to getting young hurdlers to improve and she might be capable of going one place better. Either way, she should at least make the frame.

Leg 3 Selections: Judge Earle, Brianna Rose

Another match-up on the card. JUDGE EARLE won five times last year and this course-and-distance winner drops in grade on his return to action with his stable firmly amongst the winners of late. He should be hard to beat but BRIANNA ROSE could go well on chase debut and won’t let the former have it all his own way, so she is included.

Leg 4 Selections: Raffle Ticket, Witness Protection, Captain Tom Cat

An excellent feature with lots of these having a chance. RAFFLE TICKET has yet to finish out of the frame in all completed starts and has won his last two starts over fences. He is up five pounds for his latest win but has plenty more to offer and has excellent claims. WITNESS PROTECTION is back on his last winning mark and has a chance, as does CAPTAIN TOM CAT, who has the capabilities off this mark but his attitude and mistakes have often let him down.

Leg 5 Selections: Midnight Ginger, Park Hill Dancer

MIDNIGHT GINGER is a tough mare to beat when she is in the mood and will appreciate the ease in grade. She is two pounds below her last winning mark and could be up to winning this low-grade race. PARK HILL DANCER opened his account over hurdles at Huntingdon and is a player on handicap debut for the Nicky Henderson team.

Leg 6 Selections: He Is A Cracker, Elfride

HE IS A CRACKER has hit the frame in three of his last four starts and was only beaten a short head at Warwick last time. From only a three pounds higher mark, he has a good opportunity to go one better. ELFRIDE won over track and trip just over three weeks ago and she could follow-up in a race that won’t take much winning.
