Leg 1 Selections: Big R, Raven’s Applause

BIG R has been threatening to get his head in front, who again, ran another solid race when second at Haydock when last spotted. He is a pound higher for this race but wouldn’t need to improve much more to land the spoils, while RAVEN’S APPLAUSE is on a potentially lenient mark and might emerge as a leading player.

Leg 2 Selections: The Line, Brave Empire

THE LINE below his chance with a slow start on debut but made some late progress to take third and connections are fitting him with a hood, which should help. He can improve to run another big race, while BRAVE EMPIRE also shaped with promise on debut when sixth and should be suited to this longer distance.

Leg 3 Selections: Lady Dreamer

This could turn out to be an above-average fillies’ novice event but LADY DREAMER hasn’t been beaten far in any of her three starts and could improve for the fitting of a tongue-tie after returning a beaten favourite last-time-out. She is worth one more chance in the hope she can finally deliver the goods despite being more exposed than most.

Leg 4 Selections: Eminency, Wiltshire

EMINENCY’s sole success came over course and distance last July and he hasn’t been beaten far in each of his two starts so far this season. He is one of the likeliest winner’s, so is worth playing on the ticket. WILTSHIRE should appreciate the ease in grade and could be tough to beat after only being beaten a couple of lengths in a stronger event than this last time.

Leg 5 Selections: Farasi Lane, Silver Gunn

FARASI LANE is only a pound higher than when successful over a mile at Southwell in March and was beaten under a length off this mark when last seen. He’s a major contender, as his recent course third SILVER GUNN, who has previously won over track and trip and James Doyle has been booked to ride as well. Leading claims.

Leg 6 Selections: Blazer Two, Molliana

The Michael Scudamore-trained BLAZER TWO won from the front when returning from a break at Leicester and remains on decent mark given previous exploits. He’s sure to be thereabouts, though MOLLIANA is generally consistent and has place claims, so she could be up to making an impact in what is a weak race.
