Leg 1 Selections: Le Beau Garcon, Mattice, Muker
As usual, competitive races for the Sunday Series, but LE BEAU GARCON could be ready to gain a second course-and-distance success. He did well to finish as close as he did in third last time considering he was slowly away due to the rider removing the hood far too late. He is well-treated off this mark and should go well, while MATTICE and recent Ayr winner MUKER are others to consider in this wide-open starter.

Leg 2 Selections: Spiritual Pursuit, Mummy Peas, Beveragino
Not a lot to go in here but hopefully the betting will provide some clues. SPIRITUAL PURSUIT is related to several winners over this distance and could be another decent two-year-old unleashed by Archie Watson. MUMMY PEAS has plenty of speed in her pedigree and could feature, while BEVERAGINO is also related to plenty of winners and any two-year-old Michael Bell sends out has to be given the utmost respect.

Leg 3 Selections: Geremia
GEREMIA came from last to first to return to winning ways at Hamilton when last spotted and won with plenty to spare at the finish. The assessor hasn’t really applied much pressure by only raising his mark three pounds, so he is still thrown in here off 83 having placed off higher marks beforehand. He has winning form over this longer distance, so even though hold-up tactics are hard to pull off at this venue, Jim Goldie’s five-year-old is fancied to strike again.

Leg 4 Selections: Dickieburd, Winter Crown
DICKIEBURD finished a cracking third in the Epsom Dash last week and this is evidently an easier race despite this course being completely different. He is only a pound higher for this contest and should have plenty of improvement to come, so the three-year-old has a leading chance. WINTER CROWN was only beaten four lengths at York when last spotted and is another who is eased in grade. A repeat of his close-up second at Chester to Radio Goo Goo should see him right in the mix.

Leg 5 Selections: Sophiesticate, Dubai Crystal
SOPHIESTICATE has not won off a mark this high before he has gone close on plenty of occasions and has a chance at these favourable weights. Karl Burke’s DUBAI CRYSTAL was runner-up on her handicap debut at Ascot and despite this being tougher, she has a chance with more to offer. A low weight also helps her chances.

Leg 6 Selections: Austrian Theory, Maywake
AUSTRIAN THEORY was given a well-judged ride from the front at Epsom last weekend, where he never looked like getting beaten and has a great chance to follow-up in this weaker race. MAYWAKE has made the frame in his last three starts off this mark or higher and should again be thereabouts, even if he finds one or two too good in the latter stages.
