Leg 1 Selections: La Roca Del Fuego
LA ROCA DEL DUEGO could have a leading role to play in the opener, who won over course-and-distance last April from a pound higher mark and takes an ease in grade after winning and finishing second in a couple of better events on the all-weather towards the end of last year.
His last win was off a mark of 74, so he is very well-treated off a six pounds lower mark on the turf with Rose Dawes claiming a further five pounds. The seven-year-old is drawn well in 4 and should he get back to his best, he is a major player at this level. I really like his credentials.

Leg 2 Selections: Lincoln Legacy
LINCOLN LEGACY made a promising start to her career on debut at Kempton, where she showed a lot of professionalism, leading for much of the contest and then rallying once headed to beat an odds-on favourite.
This is a slightly tougher race but she is open to a lot more improvement and should be at least as effective on her turf debut. Ben Curtis takes the ride this time and his mount is fancied to retain her unbeaten record.

Leg 3 Selections: Shadow Dance
The Roger Varian-trained SHADOW DANCE has shown enough in two runs to suggest he is capable of winning a race like this. He holds the edge on form and after chasing home a subsequent Listed runner-up, he could only muster third at Chester.
However, he should be better suited to the better ground and has a lot more to offer. Roger Varian’s impressive 26% strike-rate at this course over the past five seasons is also taken into account. This is a good opportunity for his runner to make it third time lucky.

Leg 4 Selections: Sir Raj
In the fourth race, Hugo Palmer’s SIR RAJ gets a strong vote to defeat Bolster. The form of his debut second to Torito could hardly be any stronger, as the winner bolted up on Derby day at Epsom.
He then found another one too good at Chelmsford but the winner has been highly tried since. With loads more to come, faced with better ground for the first time, Ben Curtis can guide him to success.

Leg 5 Selections: Bedford Flyer
BEDFORD FLYER has made a pretty decent start for this stable, running well in both starts at York, including just over two weeks ago when sixth of 14.
He is down a pound in the handicap plus his speed should prove an asset around this course. Kevin Stott is a good jockey booking and he is drawn well in 10, so there’s a lot to like about his chances.

Leg 6 Selections: Raven’s Up
In the final race of the pool, RAVEN’S UP can have a big say in the final outcome. She should have little trouble over this trip having gained her only success over the trip at Ripon and ran well enough when second at Lingfield last-time-out.
She is her trainer’s only runner on the card and remains well-treated off this mark. She should be able to play a leading role with more to come on the turf.
