Leg 1 Selections: Nemonte, Snellen, Pearls And Rubies

NEMONTE powered through the line strongly to score on debut which suggested she would appreciate the step up in trip. She gets that here and has more to come, while her trainer enjoyed a winner here yesterday. SNELLEN also impressed on her debut and would have won easier without hanging left late on. She’s bred to be smart and also appeals. PEARLS AND RUBIES, another debutant winner, is the current favourite and is included as cover.

Leg 2 Selections: Enfjaar

ENFJAAR has looked a classy prospect in winning both starts to date and even beat Military Order easily on debut who was back in fourth. He is up in grade but Roger Varian holds him in high regard and he could go very well with that debut form working out really well. There’s plenty to like about his profile and credentials, so he is my BANKER selection on the card.

Leg 3 Selections: Rohaan, Wellington, Art Power

ROHAAN loves this place and this dual Wokingham Handicap winner at this meeting, should step forward from his return. He has gone close several times at the highest level and if everything falls into place, expect him to be competitive at the business end. WELLINGTON is a high-class horse with four Group 1 wins to his name and is partnered by Ryan Moore. He should be thereabouts, while ART POWER was a close-up third in this two years ago and resumed winning ways emphatically at the Curragh last time. He is an outsider worthy of interest.

Leg 4 Selections: Free Wind, Deauville Legend

FREE WIND has won six of her seven starts and her form has continued to work out well, including her Group 2 win last time. She is sure to prove popular under Frankie and is expected to feature in the outcome. I rate the chances of DEAUVILLE LEGEND highly though, who is rated higher than the former and ran a belter when fourth in the Melbourne Cup last time. He won Group 2 and Group 3 events last season and should be suited to this test. He is feared most and has the class to go close on his return.

Leg 5 Selections: King’s Lynn, Juan Les Pins, Duca Di Como

KING’S LYNN is a standout choice for this competitive race. He was third in the race two years ago and might have won with a clear passage. He has finished a creditable seventh in the last renewals of the Group 1 King’s Stand for the last years as well and bagged a Group 2 last year. He ran well on his return to a handicap last time when second at Chester and Harry Davies is booked to ride who takes off three pounds. If he can overcome a low draw, he’s a huge player.

JUAN LES PINS returned to winning ways last-time-out, charging through the field from the back of the field and is turned out relatively quickly which must mean he has come out of that race in excellent form. From a draw, with a good pace to aim at, he’s got a chance. DUCA DI COMO has a phenomenal win strike-rate and is the most interesting runner as he’s Norwegian. He could easily surprise a few at huge odds given he’s a multiple winner in Group/Listed events.

Leg 6 Selections: Have Secret, Knockbrex

HAVE SECRET ran a huge race on his return when fourth in the London Gold Cup and that form has worked out well with the second and third placing in the Hampton Court this week, while the winner finished third in the King George V Stakes this week. He should be fitter from that run and has a good chance. Frankie could have a final Royal Ascot success on KNOCKBREX, who is well-treated, while LION OF WAR won at Musselburgh three weeks ago and cannot be taken lightly either.
