Sold for just 6k after disappointing on his final start for Kevin Frost, the son of Sea The Stars pitched up at the Greenmount Park venue following a 67-day break and if it wasn’t for such a tardy, he may have struck gold at the first time of asking for new connections.

Last leaving the back straight, he finished off his race with plenty of purpose and with as little as another 50yds he would have won with a bit to spare. Clearly not short of pace despite his pedigree suggesting otherwise, the seven-furlong trip is pursued for the time being and providing he hits the lids a bit better today, he has enough ability to feature in a race of this nature.

A revelation since joining his new yard, the son of Adaay has managed to win four races under both codes and his latest performance suggests he is not finished just yet. Despite not getting the clearest of runs at the Gosforth Park venue, he kept on extremely well in the latter stages of a well-run affair and with the time figure pointing towards one of his best set of numbers, all seems rosy in his garden at present.

Placed on all three of his starts at tonight’s venue, it is also a track where his handler has enjoyed quite a bit of success in recent times and the combination of those two factors make him a confident choice to go well again.
