CRACKING DESTINY’s (best price 7/2) victory over today’s C&D gave him an unblemished record at the Midland track and with connections clearly keen to seize upon his seeming love affair for the sharp circuit, the 10-year-old rates a strong choice to repeat the dose.

Shaping as though he would benefit from his first two runs since wind surgery, Ewan Whillans’ gelding travelled strongly throughout what turned out to be a well-run affair 19 days ago but unlike his effort off the bridle at Aintree previously, this time he found plenty for pressure in the latter stages.

Clearly well suited by a sound gallop at the minimum trip, the likes of Sir Tivo and Mercian Prince should ensure he gets the pace he requires and providing the ground continues to dry out during the day (little rain forecast), he has every chance of completing a hat trick of wins at today’s track.
