Leg 1 Selections: Lethal Touch

LETHAL TOUCH returned a very easy winner over course-and-distance back in October from only a pound lower mark and returned to form with a close-up third at Newmarket last month off this exact mark. She’s drawn well in stall 4 and has a good rider doing the steering, so she ought to be competitive.

Leg 2 Selections: Qandil

QANDIL has finished third in all three starts to date and the form of her third at Ripon is probably the best piece of form in this race as she was right in behind Innvincible Friend who has won and placed twice since. This daughter of Churchill should appreciate the step up in distance and can make her presence felt.

Leg 3 Selections: Mudlahhim

MUDLAHHIM has been winless since January last year but he’s fallen a long way in the weight since and is rated 26 pounds below that last winning mark now, which came over this course-and-distance. The seven-year-old has a very good record at this course and is drawn well in stall 4, so he’s definitely of interest.

Leg 4 Selections: Porfin

PORFIN hasn’t won since December but has knocked on the door on multiple occasions off higher marks and this former course-and-distance winner could be on the verge of resuming winning ways having been thereabouts in his last four starts. He is reunited with Josephine Gordon who went close on him two starts back at Brighton when third.

Leg 5 Selections: Hildegard

HILDEGARD had shown promise in her previous efforts in slightly warmer contests before producing her best performance to date when third in this grade at Kempton last time. She is technically three pounds lower for this race if you take her jockeys claim into account, so she must be considered.

Leg 6 Selections: Imperial Dream

IMPERIAL DREAM has quite a solid overall profile and won at this course two starts ago before backing up that success with a solid third over course-and-distance two weeks ago. From the same mark, eased in grade, Sir Mark Prescott’s charge should take a bit of stopping in this contest.

How does a Placepot work?

The more people who play the Placepot at a given meeting, the larger the pool will be. If less people find the winning combination across the six races, the bigger the winning dividend will be.

When placing your Tote Placepot bet, you can choose whether to make one or more selections in each race, which are referred to as lines.

Adding multiple lines in a race increases your chances of picking a horse that places. However, your total stake is determined ‘per line’, so the more lines you place the higher the stake will be.

To work out how much you have won, multiply your stake per line by the amount of winning lines you have. Your winnings will then be either that percentage of the published £1-stake winnings or a multiple of the published dividend.
