STORM VALLEY has offered promise in all four of her starts to date and wasn’t beaten far on her handicap debut at Epsom last time when fourth. This is an even weaker contest and Harry Davies takes the ride this time around, so Andrew Balding’s filly gets the vote to make a serious impact against a moderate bunch.

LAWMANS BLIS has just one career win to his name but was a good fifth when last seen and is seven pounds lower than when he was last successful. He has the capabilities to beat these if he can take a step forward from his latest encouraging effort in defeat with his connections amongst the winners of late, too.

Leg 3 Selections: Magic Memories 

MAGIC MEMORIES has been highly tried in two of his three starts to date and ran his best race when third at Windsor last time. This is a major drop in grade and he is open to further improvement, so he is fancied to make an even bigger impact at this lower level.

Leg 4 Selections: Covert Mission

COVERT MISSION won here back in April off a five pounds higher mark and was then only beaten half-a-length when second off an even higher mark on his next start. He hasn’t matched that form in three subsequent starts but his record here coupled with this lower mark must give him a great chance of further success.

Leg 5 Selections: Puffable 

PUFFABLE beat a subsequent winner in her sole success and shaped with plenty of encouragement when fifth at Newbury last time in a tougher assignment, where she was forced outside of the field with no cover but kept on well in the closing stages. From a pound lower mark, she must be respected and competitive.

Leg 6 Selections: Morning Colours 

MORNING COLOURS shaped well when runner-up at this course on handicap debut just under two weeks ago and will be better suited to this longer distance. She is open to a lot more improvement and should be able to take care of this field if able to continue her progress.
