Architect Tips shares Tote Placepot tips for Monday's action at Windsor and yesterday's Placepot from Haydock.

Leg 1 Selections: Penguin Island, Sergeant Pep
PENGUIN ISLAND gained a breakthrough success after a sequence of in-the-frame efforts when coming good at Chepstow last month. She is up five pounds but is still a big player on ground that will not be a problem having gone close twice last year on soft ground when runner-up at Chepstow. Meanwhile SERGEANT PEP has fallen to a nice-looking mark and could be the chief threat.

Leg 2 Selections: Zariela, May, Gregorina
ZARIELA was sent off a big-price on debut at Kempton but belied those odds to run a good race to finish fourth, doing her best work at the finish, and is open to improvement. She should be competitive, while debutants MAY and GREGORINA represent very good connections who do well with two-year-old’s and could emerge as leading candidates, especially if any of these receive market support.

Leg 3 Selections: Navarre Express, Albany
NAVARRE EXPRESS shaped with promise when fifth on debut at Doncaster on heavy ground and although she was well-held in third when last spotted, she has more to come and is partnered by Oisin Murphy. ALBANY has improved with each start and was runner-up here last time. Despite being unproven on this sort of ground, she is still the one to beat.

Leg 4 Selections: Indian Creak, Antiphon
INDIAN CREAK is a four-time winner over course-and-distance, with two of those wins on heavy ground, and resumed winning ways when scoring at Epsom last month. A four-pounds rise is fair and this course-specialist is one to remain upbeat about. Of the others, ANTIPHON won here in May on soft ground off this exact mark and was also second over track and trip in June. He will relish conditions and must be respected.

Leg 5 Selections: Imperial Cult
IMPERIAL CULT has advanced his form since joining forces with this stable and proved his worth on a softer surface when third at Newbury last-time-out. This will be an even heavier surface but the assessor has reduced his mark by a pound and there’s enough to think he will win a race like this sooner rather than later. He can make the most of a drop in grade and be himself extremely competitive in spite of the burden of top-weight.

Leg 6 Selections: Lawn Ranger, Platinum Prince
LAWN RANGER has four wins to his name over course-and-distance and his overall record here is pretty phenomenal. His latest success here was off this mark and his last two wins have come on heavy ground, too, which adds further confidence. The eight-year-old has plenty in his favour and is a confident choice to go very close. PLATINUM PRINCE would only need to repeat his latest third to make an impact though, so is also included.
